That is an amazing line. You get all my internet points. Bravo.

You can dig up my negative posts on Cantanha (SanCanTanHa?) in the first two weeks. I wanted Candelario.

Pretty happy where the Brewers are now.

I thought the Brewers did exactly what they should have at the deadline. I thought this team had too many holes in the lineup to fill with one big move for a "big bat". After last year's sell up 3 games and how the Hader departure affected the team, it was clear the Crew and Arnold wasn't selling in a similar spot.

So acquire some solid but unspectacular bats, dip the toes and see what happens. It just so happens Canha has been spectacular, Santana has had some timely hits and HRs and the team has been sparked by solid at bats Contreras huge second half, and some bounce back from players who really couldn't be worse. Hopefully this can continue for a deep playoff run and not a flameout,

I actually wanted the Brewers to go after Canha in his FA year when he signed with the Mets previously but I am not paying him 12 mill in his 35 yo season but he is a solid player who gets on base and delivers solid ABs. Similar to Santana who walks a lot, is patient...I think that has helped this offense tremendously having steady presences who have seen a lot and been through these types of games/moments from the outside. Kind of brought a calming presence and when the wins started this team really seemed to be sparked with some youth infusion as well. This team has a great balance of youth/experience and seem to be really clicking (the success obviously helps). Even Donaldson - who looked cooked in NY - has come over and helped out. It's all working - hopefully it equals being the Crew's year - which I thought no way a couple months ago.

I admit I was not thrilled with this move.  Nothing to say now but that I was wrong.  I am extremely happy to be so wrong!  😀

This must be a misprint, I feel like I remember being guaranteed somewhere by someone that Candelario would outhit SantanCanha combined.

Feels very data manipulate-y to purposefully cut off the date that makes our guys looks better and Candelario look worse. Just use the total numbers.

Canha - 196 PA, 124 wRC+, 1.0 fWAR

Santana - 214 PA, 100 wRC+, 0.5 fWAR

Donaldson - 57 PA, 111 wRC+, 0.0 fWAR

Candelario - 144 PA, 102 wRC+, 0.1 fWAR

Don't even need the data manipulation to make it look good for the Brewers

Ha, well I've been tracking since the 13th for awhile because it's the time that some posters were overreacting to Canha and Santana's slow starts and Candelario's fast start. It demonstrates how poorly projecting the rest of the season is based on a couple of weeks. But your point stands as well ;)
