With the Carolina victory they move back to 3 1/2 G ahead of the 2nd place Lynchburg Hillcats. Big 'W' tonight. 22-13 overall in the 2nd half.

Back to back doubles from Jahmai Jones and Patrick Dorrian plated another run for the Sounds bottom of seven.

Only problem is Durham scored six runs twixt the two Dorrian RBIs so Nashville trails 7-2 with two sets of three outs remaining.

Unpopular opinion maybe.. I think Jackson will be seeing the big league club in September, if not the end of August.

Not unpopular. I just don’t think the Brewers are going to do it. I do think he’ll be in Nashville shortly to finish out the year.

Vennaro just gave up a single, walk, walk, and single. It's now a tie ball game. 3-3. Two down. Men on 1st and 2nd for the Blue Wahoos.

CC was asked about it and didn’t give the impression it was likely.

This is some great company to be in though

RHP Ryan Middendorf is called to clean Vennaro's men on base. He does so inducing the grounder to Zamora at SS. On to the 7th. 3-3 ball game.

In the old days with expanded rosters I'd agree.  But now with only getting to add two players in September, I think they bring back Miller or Toro as right now they only have four guys who can play 2b/SS/3B.  Pitcher will likely be Lauer.

After a sharp ground out to 3B off the bat of Freddy ZamoraEthan Murray gets the classic weak dribbler infield single to 3B. Tristen Lutz to the dish. Two down. He strikes out on a 2-2 off-speed pitch. Shuckers lose 4-3. The bullpen fails to hold it late...the offense couldn't get another across.

This. I totally get the roster rule change as being allowed to go up to 40 was ridiculous. But I hate putting the cap at 28. Would much rather see thirty.

I feel it would take an OF injury epidemic (2 or 3 guys) for Chourio to see Milwaukee this year.
