Okay, so this process is pretty simple but requires a bit of reading to understand all the steps.

1. You must have an account and be logged in to vote. If you don't have an account, click here. It literally requires 60 seconds to create an account.

2. Review our current top 20 prospect list, catch up on stats, rankings, etc.

3. Have your prospect list in your dirty little paws? Then flip on over to the new prospect voting page (after reading the rest of this, please).

4. Voting is super simple, you drag and drop players in the order you wish them to be. After you move a prospect, the list automatically renumbers so you don't lose track of the order. This works on mobile devices but it's a *vastly* better experience on desktop. Sorry, that's just how this kind of thing works. There's no great way to make something like this be as awesome on a phone screen.

5. Each prospect has a comment section where you can add any commentary you have on that player. At the bottom of the list, there is a general comment section to explain over-arching things you wish to mention.

6. Don't see a prospect you want to put on the list? Just pop back here and give me a mention (in a comment, start typing @Brock Beauchamp and then select my name when it appears). Mention the prospect you want added and I will do that asap.

7. Once you're done with all of it, click Save. You've now voted!

8. When the voting closes, a new thread will automatically generate in this forum with all of your rankings and comments for everyone to read and talk about.

9. You can only vote once. If you have voted in error, pop back here and again tag me, asking to have your vote deleted. I will remove it and you can vote again.

Voting will close end of day on Tuesday, August 15th!

For a Top 20 list?

Nadal, I think is at least on par with Wilken, Adams. and Boeve. Melvin Hernandez is flashing some real good stuff in the DSL, and Sanchez's OPS isn't that far from Yophery's in the DSL, either.

I do kind of wonder how many more guys would get votes this time around if it was top 25 rather than 20 given that with the strength of the system it feels like there are 15-16 who should be on most ballots. Would it be double?

Come to think of it, that is probably why it is 20

I was just saying to someone earlier that I feel like this is the deepest Top 20 I ever remember filling out.

We had many internal discussions about the length of the list but ultimately I won out and made it as short as possible for the sake of my own sanity. The amount of wibble-wobble on prospects 16-20 is enormous and would only get worse going 21+.

Could you refine this to just the people you plan to include in your top 20? I don't want the list to become too cumbersome.

Nadal and Hernandez will definitely be on, Martinez, Sanchez, Norman and Miller all kinda fighting for the last spot.

Just what I was thinking.

Guys who I seriously considered but ended up leaving out included Yophery Rodriguez, Yerlin Rodriguez, Freddy Zamora, Eric Bitonti, Jesus Rivero, Patricio Aquino, Alexander Vallecillo, Shane Smith, Isaac Collins, Matt Wood, Satchell Norman, and Juan Baez.

Then there are the young guys who did well last year but aren't having as good of a year this year in Edwin JImenez, Alexander Cornielle, Yeison Perez, Luis Castillo, Stiven Cruz, Hendry Mendez,  Quinton Low, Jace Avinia, Jadher Areinamo and Rob Moore.  And you have some guys flashing in the DSL - Enniel Cortez, Demetrio Nadal, Filippo Di Turi,. Bryan Rivera, and Melvin Hernandez.

It's currently .946 for Yophery to .885 for Brian, or a 148 wRC+ to a 133 wRC+.

Sanchez is also a year and a half older, a corner outfielder, and has worse plate discipline/stolen base numbers. He also never flashed the kind of tools that get guys a $1.5M sigining bonus.

Sure, his OPS is only 61 points lower than Yophery's, but he's trailing him considerably in every other area too.

@Brock Beauchamp Can we add Demetrio Nadal, Brian Sanchez, Melvin Hernandez, Juan Baez, Ernesto Martinez, Satchell Norman, and Darrien Miller?

The Brewers track record with international signings is abysmal. Rank accordingly. Remember when this board was all excited about Hedbert Perez and Hendry Mendez? The Brewers can't even get international signings to AA, much less the majors. Rank accordingly.

I'm ecstatic we've landed an outlier like Chourio.

Which college/HS did Abner Uribe go to? Quero is looking like a pretty nice outlier so far too, up to #34 on the MLB Top 100.

Stearns & company overhauled the international department some years ago, and we’re now starting to see the fruits of those labors. Results from past regimes are of minimal relevance at this point.

Perez , Mendez, and big ticket sign Kevin Euro are examples of Stearns revamped efforts. Much work needs to be done yet.
