It doesn't look like it is here in this thread but right after this happened there was a report by I believe Rosiak that eveything was fine and I just knew that everything was't just fine. I would agree, super annoying.

Yes it was in Nashville. He had 1 rehab appearance in Appleton then was sent to Nashville and it was his rehab appearance in Nashville that he tweaked the knee in

Ok, my bad.  I've been traveling the past 9 days and wasn't totally tuned in, but just saw little bits and pieces of news along the way.  Could have sworn it happened in Appleton.

Any news on Megill, that looked rough and I assume the IL is looming even if it's just bruised that type of contact would seem to be a few days out at least.

With the performance of the bullpen of late, it just might make sense to move Hall to bullpen duty. Historically, he has pitched much better out there and so far has been a disappointment starting. I know that SP has been a major weakness this year, but there is no point trying to fit a round peg into a square hole.

Dude's just starting his MLB career, and posters want to cut him off at the knees. There's too many examples to bother citing that started their careers slowly, and out of the bullpen.

Just let the kid breathe.

Corbin Burnes had a 8.82 ERA in 2019.

McCalvy

Rhys Hoskins, on the IL with a right hamstring strain, is on the cusp of playing baseball. TBD as of this morning whether he will rehab at Class A Wisconsin this weekend or jump right back in.

Either way, looks promising he'll be active for a return to Philly next week

Random question here but I don't know where else to ask it - does anyone know why McCalvy has his Twitter account set to private? Can't share his posts anywhere, seems weird for a team's beat writer for MLB.com.

Agreed……bizarre……you would think he’d want them shared

Hopefully he can play in Philly. He should get a nice ovation.

Not cutting anyone down at the knees. Just looking at Hall’s past history and the actual facts as they stand today (or on May 29th). When he is a SP, he loses 2-3 mph off his fastball, which ends up becoming very hittable. There was only one game this season that he’s thrown over 5 innings, He averages 1.65 hits/inning, 0.61 BB/inning, 0.8 Ks/inning, a 7.11 ERA and a game score of 36. Please explain those stats? I’m not speaking hope and or what I really want very badly to see. I know facts aren’t very popular these days. If you remove his inclusion in the trade how to you view his performance to date as a SP. Looking at his success in 2023 as a RP it probably is best starting him in the bullpen coming back from his injury. There he  has a better chance of increasing his confidence from his bad start to the year.  Maybe when he builds up his innings and the state of the Brewers SP and RP at a time try him again as a starter with a short leash.

If his throwing in the low 90s was strictly due to him starting, then sure. But I thought there was some speculation that he wasn't 100% even before the IL stint. I'd prefer to use him as a starter in Nashville. Gradually ramp up the pitch count & see if he can build. That's a role he could be really valuable in w/Milwaukee & that's what I'd aim for.

If he's in the pen with the Brewers, with all the other lefties he'd probably have a role where he'd come in early & go 2-3 innings. I don't think that's a huge difference from starting & going 70-75, which is what our starters are often limited to anyway.

The only difference is he was Corbin Burnes and not DL Hall.

Question about Junis.  How long would it take him to ramp up as a SP.?  3 weeks.  Think it would be a waste if he’s only a 3 inng guy.

Now that Gasser is dealing with another injury, I have a super unpopular opinion to share …

I would package both Uribe & Misirowski in a trade for a quality major league starter with three years of availability

Their significant control issues outweigh their 100 MPH arms … that will often end up with surgery
