I love offense.   This is so much better than the past few years

Good riddance to all those boring teams of three, four years ago.

I have to say, these last 3-4 games have been some of my favorite in recent memory. Just the certainty with which they play.

I also have to say, and I’m not necessarily complaining, that this ump has favored the Crew to a near absurd amount today. I’m surprised Baltimore isn’t chirping more at him.

McCann's awful framing did not help, but yeah that umpire scorecard tomorrow is going to be at least +1.00 Brewers.

Just need a Chourio homer off of Burnes tomorrow to break out of his slump and all will be well.

I'll take a hit. Heck even contact.

This has probably been discussed here in previous threads, but here goes.

For most of the last few years, the Brewers just had to get the lead going into the 7th and then rely on a dominant back-end bullpen to bring home the W. At least for now, I wonder if the injury to Williams creates a greater sense of urgency to get more comfortable leads. It's a mentality thing.

Did Milwaukee make a roster move to add Wiemer?

I see that Wiemer isn’t in the Nashville lineup today - but Hicklen is

I don't think so.  :)

All I could think of after this one ended:

I can't believe Frelick's RBI oppo slap hit double counted given it wasn't hit 110mph off the bat.

Here is a box score from the 14th game last year. What an amazing job Arnold (and the development team) has done with the offense and bullpen. Even piecing together a decent rotation.

At this point last year that team was 9-4, I have way more faith in this team than last years. Especially if our prospects stop getting hurt and we can find another top of the rotation starter to trade for down the road.

Well it was 104.7mph off the bat. 4th hardest hit ball of Frelick's career.

I vote he gets a name change before returning in that case.

Goes to show how expectations factor into how fun things are. Basically the same record as last year at the same point in the season but the vibes around this fanbase are way higher than I remember last years being.

You can’t begin to think these two teams are remotely similar tho? The brewers lead the NL in run differential, they’re not relying on 1 run wins.. this team is hitting and absolutely smacking teams at the moment

Last year - 9-4 with a +25 run differential

This year - 10-3 with a +33 run differntial

Seems like both years involved a lot of wins.

Boring? Every fricking game was a nailbiter.  Every pitch in the last 3 innings of almost every game I wass on the edge of my seat.   If we had lost more than we won, sure...but we won... a lot... and it was anything but boring.  Highly dramatic and heart attack inducing....but boring it was not...

To each his own.

I vaguely remember decent offense early in the year but really tailed off in May till the end of the season.

Do we cut DL Hall any slack for windy conditions? Not sure if all those HRs otherwise leave the yard .

Either way, his fastball continues to get smacked. His velocity is way down. I'm guessing they send him down. He has no chance until he gets his velocity back, and I'm a fan of his.

I'm guessing they add an extra reliever for today, and then Tobias Myers when this spot in the rotation comes up again.

My question was based on your rhyme earlier in this thread

I know ... I thought he might still be on the roster when I wrote that!

My bad!
