Or we could just have our manager realize that we have one of the best prospects in baseball and a guy who goes between decent 4th outfielder/AAAA player and that he should stop going to the 4th outfielder/AAAA player all the time.

If only you were the manager of the team. We'd have a much better record right now.

Fair enough. There are plenty of unconventional moves. At the same time, the team is over performing everyone’s expectations entering the season.

He’s a swell guy … like a grandfather to the team

I seldom agree with his in game moves

I didn’t like the hire from day one

Being in first place doesn’t alter my perception of him as manager

I’m certainly glad Milwaukee is playing well

Tonight is potentially one that got away

Glad we had Perkins in to swing wildly at Ball 1 and then pop out on the 2nd pitch.

Glad we got to see Miller PH too.

Who would you have put in there?

I would have not PH Perkins for Chourio in the first place.

Miller for Turang? 😆 I've seen enough fire Murphy. I don't care what the record is. I apologize to Craig Counsell. You sir are Sparky Anderson compared to what I'm watching.

Murphy has been pushing the wrong buttons a little too much for my liking. Despite our record. He got too cute playing platoon advantages tonight when Perkins and Miller are just abysmal hitters.

But mostly the loss is on Freddy not pitching like an ace. He needs to figure it out.

Well I guess nobody can criticize anybody for anything because we never know who might be able to do it better!  I guess I couldn't criticize a nurse for giving the wrong dose of medication because I didn't go to nursing school.  Or criticize a carpenter who messed up a measurement because I'm not a carpenter.  What a stupid argument.

Freddy has to keep the ball in the park and it was a weak home run but man it's like the manager can't wait to....... manage. I've said it before but dude stay in the dugout rock a sweet jacket spit seeds and stay out of the way.

The way both players have been swinging the bat lately, I'm not convinced Perkins has any sort of advantage over Chourio, therefore I was annoyed he was pinch-hit for.

I hate playing in Houston.

This is without a doubt one of the worst posts I’ve seen in the IGT & I’ve been here for several seasons 🫤

We needed to win game one of this series with our best pitcher on the mound

Freddy has been out of sync for several starts after a strong beginning to the season

Very disappointing loss

The broadcast mentioned that RH have been hitting .245 against Hader vs LH's .125. So it makes sense to PH a righty for a lefty against Hader. RH are .120 better than LH.

Except that logic only holds if both hitters are the same. We took out Turang's .300 to put in Miller's .125. So they lost -.175 to get a .120 benefit. Not a winning move.

Not part of this game, but I have no idea why Black was hitting 3rd in our lineup. We didn't think he was good enough to start the year in MKE. And we sent him down pretty quick. But when he was up here we had him hitting in the middle of our lineup?

I'm looking forward to Weeks taking over the team.

Owen Miller has never hit LHP in his career. I'd take Turang over Miller every day of the week in that situation. Hader when he pitches to LHH likes to pound the upper outside part of the plate with FB then throw breaking balls off that FB. That sets up nicely for Turang who likes to shoot line drives to LF. He isn't going to try and overpower Hader and pull the ball. He will take the ball where it's pitched and send it to LF.
