Get 'em tomorrow.  Maybe their starting pitcher won't paint the corners of the zone all night long.  Again.

His ERA under 1 suggests that it will be another 6 or 7 shutout innings.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Who the heck is going to close games now if Megill is out a while? Payamps again?

Is Abner Uribe still available.

I don't think he's served his suspension yet, right?

I don't know what going on with him.

Imo Murphy kinda managed the game like he didn't expect to score. Koenig pitched to one batter? Enolis had easy inning got pulled for Payamps. Payamps got pulled for Peguero. Even if it went 11 who was going to pitch White? You can't let them score 5 there but you had nobody left. Why I'm not a Murphy fan at all.

Paredes looks the part, but I doubt we would do that so soon.

I don't trust Payamps at all.

Koenig?  Hudson?

Probably a closer by committee is in our future.

I'd love Hudson, but he's just so darn valuable as a two-inning guy in the 7th and 8th. It's a really tough call. I don't trust Payamps either. It might have to be Hudson or by committee, as you mentioned.

Yup, probably overthought a bit tonight and of course he gets some wrong like everyone does.   But obviously he's getting more right than wrong so far and getting them right at a clip better than most to be winning at this clip with this roster and injuries

Yeah he's done a decent job but games like tonight just make you scratch your head. The Dunn pinch hitting stuff has to stop. He's not better than anyone he's pinch hitting for so just stop it.

Pat Murphy says it’s his understanding Abner Uribe’s suspension has been reduced from six to four games. But when is it over????

Might have just dodged a major bullet there...

Looked more like the forearm to me, not the elbow.

If that is the case, and no fracture, we are still probably looking at a 10 day IL stint.  Could have been worse.

It doesn't start until they bring him up again.

He has to be back up on the roster to serve it. Send Dunn back and just bring him up to get it over.

Ok thanks, but that won't help us now. Maybe its time to give Trevor Bauer a call.

There is no better illustration of how Brown pitched, than the fact that Brice Turang struck out three times. My best comp is Trevor Megill being on top of his game, when he's ahead of everybody, throwing 99 & then putting the knuckle curve where he wants to, then multiplying that by 90 pitches. Then he got us in the taking strikes-swinging at balls teeter totter. There have been no-nos thrown with worse stuff & location.

Was much more disappointed in the ABs vs the bullpen. Obviously Dunn, then Sanchez does everything to work himself into a count (2-1) where he MIGHT get a fastball, then proceeds to swing at two non-fastballs. And we might've won it in the bottom of the 9th, but down a run w/ no one on base Contreras chooses to swing 2-0 vs Neris, who's walked quite a few hitters. Not very smart.

I'll have to self-impose a moratorium on my criticism of Adames. He had a hell of a night. And I thought Bauers really competed in his ABs w/o much to show. That's about it offensively.

After Chourios' non-catch, I got a kick out of Anderson making his laundry list of excuses/reasons, then saying "But Peralta doesn't want to hear that". Neither do we, Brian.

Obviously hope for the best re Megill.

Brewers do know Morel is hitting 197 right? They pitch him like he's prime Bonds.

Yesterday & today I thought he laid off some stuff he usually chases. Not a world-beater but probably starting to mature as a hitter a little bit.

In the event of injury replacement, are pitchers required to warm up entirely on the mound and not the bullpen?  Seems like when they warm up on the mound they have a tendency to rush their warmup and then aren't sharp.

Years ago, a fellow by the name of Kameron Loe came in due to injury & I watched him warming up & I knew, I just KNEW he wasn't ready & rushed just like you mentioned. Got clocked. Boy that ticked me off.
