Would have been neat atleast get Hoskins on base lmao. Ovation was also pretty neat.

Couldn't help but think watching their game last night if there were any "Thomson is a moron" threads on Phillie fan boards after Realmuto was given a full day off, even though there was a spot or two late where he could've helped.

Probably not because he didn’t also leave a couple other of the top hitters out of the lineup at the same time.

If you think for one second that Phillies fans as a group are more rational than Brewers fans, that’s proof that you never lived in that area.

I realize Koenig was the "opener" but guy can't throw more than 5 pitches? Was he hurt?

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Probably want to do the same thing again tomorrow.

They want him to open tomorrow for Rea as well.

Or acquire another starting pitcher like they should've done a month ago.

II think this is the 3rd game in a row he did it.

Bryse has looked mediocre his last few outings

I can’t believe we need him as a starter

He’s had some good games but he’s another end of rotation “guy” - not a quality starter

Bryse needs to get in better shape imo. It can't be easy to be at your best when you are carrying a bit extra.
