The only outcome of this series that I would not be happy with is a Reds sweep - that would put them only 4 games behind. There's a big mental difference between that and the 6 games behind they would be if the Brewers just took one measly little game this weekend. At least for me, anyway.

I just hope Freddy can go 7 innings today, that would help.

I just hope Freddy can get thru the first inning without being scored on.

First Friday half-price tix! I will be there!

Is this for ALL tickets, or just certain ones?

Anything less than a series win isn't acceptable imo.

They need 2 of 3, gain some ground, and not lose.

The way I look at a series like this is to get one win to take the sweep off the table and then go from there.

My confidence in Peralta is quite low after his last two very shaky outings. Walks to the Reds are like handing them doubles, so if he can’t find some command tonight will be a long night.

The Brewers offense hasn’t been good the last couple of weeks and they’ll be facing two very good starters today and tomorrow..

I see the Reds as the most capable of the other teams in the division to make a run. Let’s not let them get started this weekend.

If history has anything to do with it beware of the Cardinals also. They are in the hunt 90% of the time also.

We all want a series win, but we don't need one (as it relates to the Reds). If we were in Cincy's position, we'd need the sweep. Stopping that is acceptable to me (if not ideal).

Yes, Cincy isn't the sole team to worry about. Head-to-head divisional matchups are where ground can be gained or lost, though, and with the lead the Brewers have, getting swept in a 3-game series is really the only outcome that hurts,

I’m always wary of the Cardinals, but I try not to mention them too often here because it sets some people off.

I’m also always wary of the Brewers this early in the season because we have lived through several seasons where nice looking leads in June (and later) have proven to be a mirage.

How about some positive vibes around here!

Quit that talkin' about Reds sweeps or series victories! Brewers are better than them.

How about the pressure the Reds will feel when the Crew sweeps them??

The Reds are a dangerous opponent that has turned things around after a terrible stretch from late April into May

Both teams are 16-13 in their last 29 games and the Reds are 8-3 in June with some tough SP slated for tonight and tomorrow.

It will be a tough series
