Made, Pena and Ortuno with 10 RBIs between them in one game. 😁😁😁

I think we may need to organize a special trip to Zebulon next year.

Now up to 12 RBI combined for the trio here bottom of eight in a 17 to 10 ballgame.

In addition to the offensive explosion, Wande Torres walked the first two batters he faced in the first inning but then retired eight in a row, five via strikeout.

I'm excited to see what they end up looking like when they get stateside.

With the improved facilities, it would be cool if we are going to get kids showing up a lot more physically developed.

With twelve days left in the DSL regular season, the DSL Cerveceros Uno (29-15 - winners of three straight) just pulled within 1/2 G of the first place DSL Orioles Orange (31-16 - losers of two straight). This race is clearly going down to the wire and it certainly feels like the Crew Uno have the horses to win a photo finish. Stay tuned!

Will we see them in Carolina next year though? I guess I just assumed they’d play the entire season in the ACL. Perhaps in August when the ACL season is over.

We've had guys start in A ball the past few years.

Yophery Rodriguez this year, Lara last year, and Chourio before that.

I’m hoping:
- the Fantastic 4 (including Anderson) stay healthy
- the 2 most advanced start 2025 with Carolina
- at least 1 of the other 2 joins them by June
- they rock the Carolina League

Yophery .253/.393/.449 6 hr 12 sb 41bb/40 k

Lara .260/.341/.385 2 hr 7 sb  21bb/28k

Chourio .296/.386/.447 5 hr 8 sb 23bb/28k

Made .343/.461/.547 5 hr 23 sb 31bb/24 k

Pena .399/.459/.595 1 hr 34 sb 13 bb/14k

Ortuna .342/.457/.470 1 hr 18 sb 21 bb/19 k

Anderson .288/.412/.536 8 hr 14 sb 29bb/34 k

Comparing the 4 this year, to the recent 3 I would say all 4 should start in Carolina.

C=Dinges IF=Bitonti, Di Turri, Made, Pena, Adamchezcki, Johan Barrios, Tyler Rodriguez

OF=Anderson, Ortuna (1B/LF/utl?)

Looks like a good idea to move someone to the OF.

Two Johnsons from INF Vinny Capra? Well, Yes Sir indeed! Sounds lead 3-1. Another fantastic end result performance from RHP Chad Patrick.

RHP Yerlin Rodriguez On the verge of another meltdown inning in Quad Cities. So many sighs. In his second inning of work he has gone:

Walk, WP, Walk, WP, Walk, K, Walk, SF, K

He has thrown 48 pitches over two innings. The ongoing struggles continue. T-Rats trail 5-2.

After a mere single hit in last night's 1-0 loss, the Shuckers bats have one hit yet again in the top of the 6th. The Biscuits have 7 knocks. The difference from last night is they are tied 3-3.

I think that Made and Pena start at Carolina. Assuming they get brought over, I think instructs will be big for Anderson and Ortuno. That, more than his DSL season, is where Lara put himself on track to skip the ACL if I remember correctly.

One more note on the DSL guys, last year the Brewers had 11 players between the two teams who posted a .700 OPS and a sub-30% strikeout rate. Nine were brought stateside, one was traded and Danny Puerta was the lone one to stay in the DSL. This year they have 17.

Brewers1: Made, Pena, Ortuno, Martinez, Paulino, Garcia

Brewers2: Anderson, Flores, Tovar, Corobo, Lafond, Quintana, Polanco, Montero, Ereu, Charles, Lugo

Whoa. Did the Shuckers revert back to May?

They got 1-hit in 2 games in a row?

But at least Chad Patrick appears to be himself.

Another evening of travel for me, and odd and off night for the affiliates.

I did get to watch Miz from last night (well 2nd inning only as milb tv lost the first inning). And he looked good  And Wichrowski also looked mostly solid, looking more in control  and touched 97.

Not a lot of pitching to review from tonight it seemed like.  DSL boys were the entire offense as well.

Extra impressive with offense down in the DSL this summer at a .699 league average OPS so far versus a .720 last year.

Also to note a Paul Hoff outing on the island. He went a while without pitching but has made a few appearances recently.

Jose Anderson HR watch still going on. None since July 15 😳😳😳

Finally the race for DSL Brew1 OPS lead will come down to,the wire between Made and Peña. Just unbelievable the season those two have had.

I'll guess Made has the best chance of seeing a full season in Carolina, with Pena a close second & another strong possibility. Part of the equation might involve people like Adamczewski, Baez, Di Turi---will enough of them be clearing out & heading to Grand Chute?

Also would like to hear if anyone has any background/info on Argenis Aparicio, the Venezuelan pitcher. Without having actually seen him, his numbers suggest someone who is pretty polished for a teenage hurler.
