Was winning the division enough?

Yes, it was good stuff!

But, things now are looking a liitle rough!

Enef is Enef -- let's rip Jeff!

We need Franky to be Swanky!

4 losses in a row is a no-no!

I have a feeling winning isn't a priority right now.  It was fun while it lasted.

Hard to blame the team for the last three games. Arizona had everything to play for and we essentially have very little to play for this week.

It’d be great to get a bye but that seemed like a remote chance.

TENTH three game losing streak of the season, that means 44.77% of the team’s losses have come while streaking…

start 10-3
(0-3) 7-2
(0-3) 3-0
(0-3) 16-9
(0-3) 8-4
(0-3) 8
-2
(0-3
) 2-1
(0-3) 13-7
(0-3) 14-5
(0-3) 7-4
(0-3) ???

RESILIENCE has been the big word this year with zero four game losing streaks and only one series sweep despite all those three gamers.

Bouncing back again today and starting to build some momentum towards October would be ideal.

Many downright deplorable at-bats the last few days, Kinda understandable given the circumstances of the respective teams. Not the end of the world, but on the other hand I wasn't in the stands spending money to watch it. Agree that it's time to let some preparation & professionalism creep back in during the next week.

They miss Skenes. That doesn't hurt.

Do the Brewers have a starter who can keep the ball in the ballpark? They have to be approaching 200 bombs given up as a staff. Bottom 5 or 6 for sure.  That's 3 bombs, 6 ERs and 10 hits in Montas' last 8 IPs. It's going to be a challange for Murphy to pick a starter after Peralta and Meyers.

Silver lining, I suppose, is that we're making it less likely we face the DBacks in round one. Rooting for the Phillies tonight and hoping the Braves hang on in Miami.

My ideal scenario, at this point, is that this comes down to the last day between Atlanta and NY. As many high-stress innings for as many of their pitchers as possible is going to be the best way to give the Crew an advantage. It also opens up the option to really approach that Mets series with a "make them throw you pitches" philosophy.

Brewers SP IP by game since DL Hall started against Arizona last weekend.

5.2

4.1
2.2

That's an average of 4.1 IP per start over a stretch of 8 games in a row.

I really don't want to hear the whole "Brewers had nothing to play for" line. The 2 seed and bye was absolutely in reach before this Arizona series started. If the Brewers swept the Dbacks like they are about to do to us we would be tied in the win column with the Phillies before their Sunday Night Baseball game tonight.

Montas.   Man.    It’s really going to be a crap shoot what kind of starting pitching we are going to get in October

I'm hoping AZ just has our number for now.  But the playoffs it could change.

No chance the guy who was acting like the Cubs still had a chance in the division race 2 weeks ago is saying the race for the bye was over when the Brewers clinched.
