Interesting...but I'm a bit skeptical putting Boeve and Yoho, as good as they were this year(plus Areinamo) over the likes of Adams, Bitonti, Para, Pena...and then Burke who BA just spoke about, saying he had the bet power in the system and an underrated hit tool while also saying he should be a fast riser.

Man that's exciting.

2029 — Made at 3B, Pratt at SS, Pena at 2B, Bitonti at 1B, Chourio in CF, Anderson in LF, Payne in RF with Quero catching.

Burke at DH, also I'm hopeful you have a better defender in CF and keep Chourio in LF. He's good, but I want PCA type good and...I'm hoping Payne can be that or Lara

Then you just keep signing everyone you can.

We could have been in the same situation as the Nats with Chourio set to become a FA at 26. If Pratt and Made follow the same trajectory, they become top 5 prospects(which is entirely possible in both cases) and lock them up.

Of course, by then, you'll start seeing a backlog in prospects. We haven't even accounted for the Wilken, Yophery, Lara, Boeve, Quintana, Adams-type prospects

Get your Devers in Made, your Gunnar in Pratt, and continue the young, aggressive play style under Rickie Weeks(whom I presume takes over by then) that you developed under Murphy.

Your staff looks like Misiorowski, Meccage, Ashby, who I probably have an irrational amount of confidence in at this point would be in his final year Henderson, Letson, Knoth, Hunt, whoever, and I suspect we'll be a bit more aggressive next years going after a Camminiti type prospect with so many athletic up the middle type players. That leaves BP. And I get you could do this every year, project out and say these guys will be REALLY good, but this group is different.

They key will be to keep this player acquirement and development staff around and churning out talent, but they've got the ball rolling now and it's picking up speed.

A lot of heartbreaking playoff losses, but this is as bright a future as the Brewers have probably had since Molitor and Yount were coming up together in ~'78...and they were a Rollie Fingers injury away from a WS. Who knows how things fall, but it's exciting as hell!

Because of the super young ages of Made-Pratt-Pena-Payne-Bitonti, I’ll even include Quero in there, the team can offer extensions and get all of their prime-performance years which will be the key to this team having the Small-Market dynasty I believe they will have.

Getting 3 of the aforementioned locked up surrounding Chourio for 7 years should get it done.

Not concerned about the particulars on the pitchers because this team’s PDS will develop great pitching from among the 25 pitchers drafted in the last 2 years, plus what they add in next years draft with all their extra capital.

Many will think we are wildly optimistic regarding the direction of this team, and their prospects, but we are not, this is where this thing is going.

Having the best FO in the game matters, and the doubters are about to find this out.

Not a subscriber, but a big shoutout to the Brewers (and Bitonti as the cover boy).

Wow, Brewers ALL OVER the place... the good place (Di Turi, Quintana, Bitoni, Jose Anderson, Black, Baez), and the passive place (Luke Adams is really passive, Boeve and Wilken too).

If Adams, Boeve, and Wilken just get a bit more aggressive, perhaps they can really unlock something.

Sweet, do they just do one per position for the entire minor leagues? If so this is crazy impressive having the best defensive SS in the minors at 19.

Yep, just one. Really nice honor, and the second straight year a Brewers prospect won one at a premium defensive position (Quero).

Didn't Chourio win one of the 3 OF GG awards last year as well or was that 2 years ago?

Some really interesting things about the BA top ten. They're higher on Bitonti and Letson than I've seen anywhere else. Do they not consider Gasser a prospect anymore? I hope someone asks them about that one in their Brewers chat today.

IIRC they use a different filter than, say, the MLB rookie qualification. Days on roster (including IL) vs IP/PA has made for slightly different eligibility over the years. DL Hall was still on some lists this spring, for example, whereas he had graduated from others.

Gasser should still be on their prospect list. Mitchell was still on their prospect list heading into the 2024 season. They either forgot about Gasser, changed their eligibility rules, or actually have him outside the Top 10.

Del Chiaro doesn't evade any of the questions. His blunt observations of Made, Pratt, Boeve, Wilken, and Payne were a little surprising to me. at the same time, I can't imagine blowing smoke is within the scope of his job responsibilities.

I guess it's never a bad thing for prospects to see that the Brewers believe in them.

Brenton is such an interesting guy. I watched his interview with JustBaseball (I think it was with Aram, correct me if I was wrong) last year, and reading this article I can still hear the crackle in his voice as he talks about these guys, and the positive vibe he has. Just listening to / reading his interview gets me so excited. I love the "you be you" approach he talked about last year and this year, and I love the line "we're data informed, but we're not data-driven". All sports are still so hands on and mental, that you can't just learn from a laptop, but incorporate those laptops into the batting cages or the one-on-one sessions.

OK I am now officially pumped for next years minor league season, and the International FA signing day hasn't even arrived yet.🤩
