maybe he will end there, but not for this upcoming contract. I think he will want to go somewhere warm, LAL or Miami is most likely. Portland isn't a contender.

LAL...it'll be a Payton/Karl Malone type finish. Or...maybe more of a Ray Allen type one.

They need shooters, but he'll have to adjust to being less ball dominant(should be easier having played with Giannis).

More of a catch and shoot guy at his age with a blown Achilles.

@BrewerFan lakers make sense. Replaces LeBron if he is done after this season. I said Miami only because thats where he wanted to go before he went to the bucks. I think wherever it will be a warm weather town.

I saw a suggestion on the local news last night:

Sign Chris Paul

That would be interesting if you could get him on the cheap.  He would give more PG experience.  He hasn't won a championship and I think playing with Giannis would be great for him.

That is if he can get pulled from the West Coast...

@Samurai Bucky my preference is Brogdon. I’d like to get someone that can get more assists than Paul or Malcom, but not sure who that is. I’d love for them to figure out how to get Jrue back via trade, but can’t see a path.

I doubt they will sign Chris Paul. Giannis hates him.

The Bucks do have a $7mm trade exception they can use but that wouldn't be enough to offset a salary like Jrue's even if you include Kuzma and a future 1st.

I believe they had to renounce the trade exception to get under the cap per Hollinger.

The Bucks haven't signed Turner yet so that $7mm exception is still there until he officially signs with the Bucks.

Right, but I believe if they would use that they would no longer be able to get below the salary cap to sign Turner.  At least that's my understanding could be wrong.

Did he really want to go to Miami or were they just the only competitive team at the time that was interested and had the assets? I don't think he was upset about coming to Milwaukee... but I can't say for sure. I do think being able to pick a team without worrying about a contract, he'll take his time and look at which team he can help out the most among those close to a title. Hell, maybe it ends up being the Spurs? Maybe he signs for the minimum with OKC.... but being a Oakland guy...I'm thinking he'd prefer Cali and Golden State can't play him and Steph.

Also, I don't think LeBron is retiring. That man is a freak and he's still a top ~10 player. He's taking a smaller role, but he just played 70 games, ~35 minutes a game, he put up...nearly 25/8/8 and was pretty efficient.

He could go downhill quickly... bu we've been saying that fo ra while.

I think he'll play 2-3 more years, especially given Rich Paul's statement about LeBron knowing the Lakers are in a precarious position, trying to build now, but also trying to still win champshipS while LeBron is still playing.

The Celtics make a lot of sense as well...if he wants to play on the East Coast. By the time he's back, they'll have Tatum back. Tatum, Brown, White and then whoever is left.

Maybe he gets bought out? I think he's lost a lot of value.

maybe i Just know in Milwaukee he "actively tried hard to not stay miserable"https://www.yardbarker.com/nba/articles/damian_lillard_had_to_actively_try_to_make_sure_he_wasnt_miserable_with_bucks/s1_17038_42406920

I had to do the same when I lived in Milwaukee.  I had to actively try and not be miserable especially from November to about March.  Just absolutely miserable to live in Milwaukee from that timeframe if it wasn’t the cold it was the snow and then if it wasn’t that it was something else.  One of the reasons I moved from Milwaukee was just to miserable there.

I can see LIlliard being a late-career Ray Allen type (or Del Curry if you remember back that far).  He wasn't great on defense the last two years and getting two years older with a serious foot injury... I can't imagine he is going to be a starter in the league.  Sure he can score, but there is no way he will be able to play playoff-level defense for anyone.

Just to be clear... that isn't a LIllard quote.  That is some ESPN talking head's comment about Dame.  Talk about click-bait.

Yeah, that's after an unprecedented move and a player of his caliber being waived. And I'm sure at this point he's happier, but he also had said if there was one player he'd like to play with, it'd be Giannis prior to that.

Though... if he says he was unhappy, I guess it doesn't really matter at this point.

That's true...I had to live in Chicago and Milwaukee at different points. What I didn't have when I lived there was...hundreds of millions for a driver, a nice house in Mequon or wherever and a job where I was driven from door to door.

It's not like Portland was a tropical paradise... but Miami is certainly different for a young black man.

Plus, for literally half of the winter, he wasn't there.

If you have to work 12-14 hours a day seven days a week how much would you really care about the weather outside? And it's a summer offseason of Wisconsin weather so not as much need for an offseason home somewhere else.

I know for a fact that Giannis drives himself.  Kris Middleton and others did, too.

They drive through Chick-fil-a in Glendale.

Sterling Brown drove himself!

I don't like rescinding that offer to Rollins. He's 22(or just 23) years old and... just feels like the type of player who won't became a star by any means, but could be a really nice rotational player. He could defend, shoot the 3.

He resigned for 3/12 per espn
