Yoho looks like a superstar but "Airbender" cannot be what we name his pitch. We must come up with a new name for Yoho's pitch.

The Penis. Because it's drops down and to the right.

I know I said there were no dumb ideas and that is true and this it proof.   The Penis just does not have the gravity or public appeal to take off as a famous pitch.    I get where you are thinking but it also goes Left so there is an error in your thinking on that name but i simply love it!

The Wang dang sweet  ... Probably not family friendly enough either.   Love the post though!

Clearly, you didn't experience the yo-yo resurgence of 1987... the tricks have names.

Hopefully, the pitch doesn't become known as "walk the dog".

You are not wrong there.  I was not part of the late 1980s yoho revolution.     I was around but was more worried about hunting female attention to pick up a yoyo seriously in that era of my life.   So I missed that big moment in Yoho history.

No we do not want to go from an Airbender to a Dog Walker.     It is not terrible but we can do better .

Thanks for posting though!  I appreciate the history lesson in Yo Yo's very much.

How about the "Bandalore".   In the 1800s, the English term for a yo-yo was a bandalore, and English royalty made it their toy of choice.

I think they also used this as a nickname for Hand Grenades in WW1 and WW2.    I like it but making the public at large look up a history study to understand the pitches name could cut us off on this fine idea for a name.

It is top 10 right now . I will gather all the names and list them at the end of this adventure and when we have a developed list we can choose which fits best.  Thanks for your top notch idea.   I really like it.

From what I’ve learned from tv ads, call it the Peyronie. It bends and is painful.

The Bent Carrot .   mmm .  I think Craig may not like it so much but it fits!  I love where you guys heads are at here though!   Baseball is supposed to be fun after all!      Thanks for that 2 cents.

The Plank Walker, The Buckler, The Yoho Oh-No-No

Maybe we name all his pitches and The them "Ship, Captain, Crew"

Maybe we use the Sword of a Pirate .     Then it has the whole Sword strikeout add to it .    I like the Pirate thing . . Its super fitting. Call it

"The Cutlass" or the  " Swashbuckler" maybe the  "Scallywag"

Pirate themed is a vein that has massive potential .

yo-yo as basic as it is might be a phenomenal nickname.  Maybe a dominant pitch he has could be “walk the dog” and that becomes a secondary one…

Yeah, I'm on board with yo-yo.  Easy to remember and while not accurate as to how it moves, it describes how hard it is to hit.

THEY CALLED IT THE YO-YO ON THE RADIO BROADCAST AND SAID THAT WAS THE PITCH NAME GOING FORWARDS ! ! Yippy !

I know I cannot be the only person who named that pitch but I know I LOVE they used Yo-Yo in the Radio call today for Yoho changeup!

I know I cannot be the inventor of it with his name and the Brewers radio broadcasters did not see this post and use it but I still LOVE the connection that I posted the YoYo here then it was called that after that.

Even if I cannot take credit for the naming of the pitch in truth I can say i predicted it maybe!      Thanks for everyone who posted to this thread!

WE named it!

The Kraken.  A little play on his pirate-like last name.  And also, the Kraken was terrifying to its opponents.

The only trouble is we have Pirates in our division.   They called it the Yo-Yo today in the Radio call on Brewers.com today!   I feel like a happy father of the name even if I am not  in truth that.   I love watching this kid pitch!

How about the Jolly Roger. Lean all the way into the pirate thing.

The Radio call today called it the Yo Yo today .   I cannot argue with that as I posted it as my vote day one .

I love the Pirate theme a lot other than we play the Pirates in our division.     Jolly Roger is a very good name.   I will put it on the list and post a poll the week before opening day.

If it was a breaking ball I would petition hard for the "Swashbuckler" - good pirate play on his name plus buckles their knees. Doesn't work as well for a changeup(esqe) pitch though.

Welp, his wife is gonna have to accept the fact that the fans have spoken, and we do like that name. Fans come first, with stuff like this. Lol

If his wife is pulling a veto we need to go dirty.

The Dirty Sanchez

The Hot Carl

Rusty Trombone

The Houdini (works on a couple levels)

The Chili Dog

The Dump Truck

If you are juvenile as I am looking these up was a blast. If squeamish dont.
