They're going to end on a high note, aren't they

We will rake against Jake!

Fastball or Curvin' -- it will be curtains for Irvin!

Freddy is an all-star!

We can rest the bullpen car!

The Brewers are better by far!

P.S. -- I miss the AMC Pacer bullpen car.

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

Golly if we can win today and the Cubs lose and we go into the break all squared up... That would be a wonderful uncomfortable break for the Cubs to have to sit through. They will have a deal done for a starter before they throw their first second half pitch...

I remember losing 8 in a row before the break in 2018. Maybe this can be (very close to) the inverse of that.

And I believe 5 of those were against Pittsburgh.

Really happy to get the first two w/o Ashby. He's a great answer to the first 4-5 spots in the Nats' lineup & this isn't a great opponent to have to face with only one LHP in the 'pen if you get a short start like yesterday. He might not be needed, but maybe Quintana is available for an inning today.

I think there's way too much b****ing among fans when the so-called "Sunday lineup" is rolled out, but I'll admit it's a little strange with the ASB coming up.

Yeah having Ashby yesterday would have been nice. Could have gone to him in the 5th when you went to Koenig then you wouldn't have needed basically every reliever to have an up down.

My only lineup complaint is not having Vaughn in there for Bauers. (waiting for big day from Jake now)

Yeah - that is obvious however it was nice when I could come here and see it without having to go to the new re-vamped version of Brewers.com.

I'm not a fan of the new re-vamped version of Brewers.com either.

That lineup is pretty gross. Slumping Turang batting fifth followed by four scrubs.

On the other hand, Wood is sitting out today and now Abrams has been scratched. So, the Nats best two hitters are both on the bench.

Golden opportunity for Peralta to dominate.

Don’t understand this lineup with the break coming, but whatever maybe the backups will bring the energy today.

I really can’t believe leaving Vaughn out of the lineup. His current hot streak isn’t likely to last long, but I would want to squeeze as much juice out of it as possible.
