2025 Official Draft Signings Thread

Now that the picks are in, we have two weeks to cover all things signing related. Feel free to peruse the draft tracker as well!

As with the last few years, the Brewers have gone heavily into high school talent in rounds 11-20 which will go a long way to grading their overall draft.

If you find out any news on signings, or want to discuss them, please do so here!.

I'll also continually update a signing bonus spreadsheet when we start getting bonuses filtering through

Here's how we start off (the cell values for the bonus pool will be filled in as we find out about signing bonuses)

He got drafted by the one team most likely to play a scrappy corner OF. If I were him I’d be doing backflips.

Especially with him being from Boston College.

Likely he agreed to a number before being drafted…….because if he didn’t the brewers would have drafted someone else who had agreed on a number.

We must have a bunch of guys already confirmed if we already got a “yes” from the 11-20 group.

Sounds like the coaches he committed to had left?

EDIT - Looks like he was committed to Vandy for a long while. SC’s coach was fired June 3rd, 2024 and Roupe flipped on the 7th without a coach until one was hired on the 11th. Wanted to be closer to home. Our Carolina team is conveniently the same distance from home as SC.

Yeah it's certainly interesting. Especially because you'd assume the earlier rounds would have priority over the 17th rounder. Maybe his bonus is going to be surprisingly on the low side?

The post that Spencer re-posted says "Mainieri says that Luke Roupe will accept his draft slot and sign"

So that mean he accepted $150K I wonder? If so that is impressive indeed for a HS player with leverage to go at "slot". Maybe just wanted to start his pro career.

This is exactly how I interpreted it as well. Maybe mis-worded but we shall see. Would be a steal at slot.

After the year the Brewers PDS has had, maybe he just wants in, and as quickly as possible. It’s hard to imagine a team having the system-wide pitching gains this team has had the last couple of years, but especially this year.

Any chance we could get a running list of official signees in the first post just so it's easier to keep track?  We used to have a complete list of draftees and then when someone signed, their name would be bolded along with their signing bonus.

Ebel is the only one confirmed, and that’s only cause his dad is currently in the opposing dugout.

We are always behind everyone else with confirming signings due to having tough signs in the 11-20 range.

That feature is on the draft board in the draft resources section in the pancake menu at the upper right corner of the page. However it’s not well updated. From last years draft it still has Blake Burke as pending for example
