So probably an ideal finish to the class from rounds 11-20 as far as dipping into the bonus pool would be Roupe (reports of signing confirmed), Hughes, and Underwood.

I would hope for that group plus one more. Looking at you Cadiz

Looks like Pirates couldn’t sign 2nd rounder Angel Cervantes who is going to UCLA as well. Hopefully he took all their NIL money.

I would prefer Cadiz over Underwood or Hughes. I am sure we will find out soon, hoping for a good surprise.

Absolutely no apologies needed. The fact that you are tracking this is amazing. Thank you good sir.

I was just curious if I missed something that had changed - I mean I assumed not since I’m like several folks who refresh this forum like every 15 minutes.

I look forward to your update. Keep it coming. Thanks for doing this!!

All good, I appreciate these things being pointed out:

Updated as below, the Brewers have currently saved $1,238,100 of their slot values which, including the 5% overage allowance ($656,905) and depending on the signing value of Vucinovich, could allow them to have over $2m in deployable bonus pool money for their late round selections on top of the signing of Rylan Mills

That's a considerable war chest, and it will be fascinating to see how much they can spread that out

It would allow them to sign four further players to around 4th round money

From the looks of things (and not counting Roupe as signed), we are looking at 4 more of the 11-20's at $650k average or 3 of them at a $800k average.

Do we have a grudge against Jim Callis? He’s been announcing every signing on Twitter except for ours.

I don't follow instant-news as much as others, but I would imagine that since the Brewers run a tight budget, they probably simply don't have a lot of media-relations people in the front office to feed info to reporters.

I would expect expect the majority, if not all of, the signings will be announced tomorrow with the team waiting until the start of the first homestead after the draft.  The fact that only one pick has come out saying they are confirming their commitment to their college is a good sign.  I would expect Underwood would be the most expensive, but am excited to see what they do.  They usually do their entire amount + the 5%.

Looks like we have all of our top 10 picks signed now. $2,164,255 to work with according to the great Nolan Bratt on Twitter.

Yeah the Brewers absolutely crushed those bonus amounts in rounds 1-10. I was projecting like $1.7-1.9M in bonus pool savings in rounds 1-10. They ended up saving a bit north of $2.25M. Now the fun part starts.

Nolan is correct! This may explain (if they had an inkling) why Roupe signed so early on, but the bonuses could certainly be larger than expected.

Theoretically, there could be enough there to sign six players to $500k deals, though early estimations are it'll be slightly more than that

Very very impressive stuff from the Brewers, particularly with their HS picks in rounds 1-10

I want you all to know the Brewers have contacted me trying to lure me into their org with a significant portion of the leftover Pool Money. However, I'm a lifer. I told them: "No. You have players to sign - this trumps your organizational fetish with my cutting edge insights. Plus the money at Brewer Fanatic is too good to pass up."

Please allow me space to share this news with my family. I appreciate your understanding.

Quite surprised Vucinovich signed for underslot.  Wow!

Hayden wasn't considered a top-300 prospect, so it isn't shocking although I thought being a high schooler would get him a little closer to slot.  Basically a player that the Brewers gave a 11th - 20th round grade to which is fair with the $150K signing figure, but made a priority for them drafting him in the first ten rounds.

Disappointing to see Underwood not coming to Milwaukee, but still a number of lottery tickets out there to throw money at.  Roupe, if the signing is confirmed, could be getting a chunk as he was definitely one of the top high school prospects in SC.

While not signing Underwood is disappointing, that should potentially leave enough money to really go after Cadiz, a player that the system imo, needs more than another pitcher.

The pitching signed thru the first 10 rounds is already stronger than what we signed in the last 2 drafts 1-10. Cadiz, Hughes & Lauridsen would make for a nice trio of talent.

If the past is a predictor, the remaining picks likely aren't announced until Monday.  Sign on the line high schoolers and hang around to watch Miz pitch against the Cubs.  Sounds like a great day!

Damn Underwood is the one I really wanted. Better get Hughes, Lauridsen, and Cadiz then. Otherwise this will be a mighty disappointing draft class for the bonus pool we had.
