I remember Billy Spiers started the season on an absolute power binge mashing 3 HR the first week of the season in 1991.

Alas, he didn't hit his 4th homer until July.

He ended up with a career high 8 dingers that year.

Honorable mention to Bobby Hughes, who didn't actually officially wear 66 (this must have been a spring training pic). Only played 2 MLB seasons, both with the Brewers. I mostly just remember him being kind of a funny guy in that clubhouse.

Besides the 6 for the Cubs, we’re at 7 for the Phillies, 2 for the Dodgers, and 1 for the Padres.

Getting there!

This does show the impact of the tiebreaker. It really feels like the Phillies are nipping at our heels, but our standing against them vs. the Cubs is basically a wash.

there's a name I haven't seen in a while!

I remember thinking he had some pretty good power during the brief time he was a Brewer, at least for a catcher.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Finding a mustachioed #4 in Brewer history is challenging, as Molly was clean-shaven his whole career, as were the few players who previously wore the number. However, in 1996, to honor his former teammate, mustachioed former ROY and middle infielder Pat Listach donned the number.
