what is the wind like today at bubble gum park?

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Got one eye on the game during work today.  What's the wind doing at Wrigley today?

Same situation... same question... same time. What are the odds?

Brian, I think that it is uncalled for.  If you don't like Counselw for his baseball acumen, that is fair.  When I moved here in 1981, there was a High School kid down the black, who was obsessed with baseball.  He grew up in a three bedroom Mickelson house, his Dad was a PR guy with the Brewers, which was not a way to get rich then.  Counce was just a hard working kid, not uppity, as you somehow have determined.  He was shy, and still is.  But he was, and is still a community member,.  Don't judge what you don't know.

When he hightailed it out of here for big $$$ in Chicago my opinion changed also.

There are a lot of fans who rightfully feel betrayed by Counsell's decision to leave the Brewers and go to the Cubs. His history makes stomaching that even tougher. The ribbing he takes from Brewer fans is more than fair and warranted.

Except for his little bit of additional power,  Jansen seemed like an odd pickup. Hoping they get a big hero pop  or two out of him in some critical moments down the stretch or playoffs

Shaming a guy for chasing the bag is so laughable lol. Nobody on the planet turns down $8mm a year in their 50s to be a manager.

My ONLY gripe with CC was the nonsense about "resetting the bar" or whatever for managers. Dude you wanted money. Just say it. It's fine.

At least based on Gameday seems like he's throwing a number of middle-middle fastballs so far. Need to ambush those instead of watching them go by like Ortiz did (and Brice did not).
