Peralta went through the Cubs' 2–4 hitters with relative ease. Should be able to push into the 7th inning, though the bullpen should be warming. Blow the game open here, and it could be a really good game for the pitching staff.

Interesting idea, it's pretty borderline.  His season high is 108 which he's done twice.

Seems like Murphy is using Uribe as the highest leverage setup man recently. Match him up against the toughest potential batters in either the 7th or 8th inning, whichever is the more likely to be the hardest.

I really want this one. Getting this game feels bigger than it probably is. Probably just my own delusions but I was sort of dreading a nightmare series after yesterday's lost heroics. Just getting 2 of the 5 is really a win for us, the Cubs needs to make up significant ground this week with this series.

Totally agree with this, hated the old school approach of pigeonholing a guy to a number 8 with no other data or information needed.

Which is a better use of him, imo, although I'm still worried about him breaking down given his innings/appearances.
