Miz is not currently a starting MLB pitcher

No one should be surprised by his wildness

He’s incredibly talented but inexperienced & it shows

I’m not sure he should remain in the rotation

I hope everything I just typed becomes a meme 😏

So, Miz to the bullpen then?

I think he was headed there this season regardless. Anything short of legendary numbers and I believe that was always going to be the plan. Woodruff, Peralta, Preister/Quintana are your SP in October.

May be a good remedy for his hyper EVERYTHING.  He needs to relax for real.

Cubs do get the big extra-base hit after loading the bases on walks.

Yep.  And then after they only got 1 in the first some of the guys immediately started pressing in their at bats instead of doing what was working in the first inning and trying to see pitches.

Everything you said isn’t really contestable this year. He has no business seeing a lineup a second time this year. He could be a great weapon as an opener or one or two inning reliever in the postseason, but how can you trust him for more than that right now?

Cubs win tomorrow and I have no problem saying they are a better team than us.    This was a wake up call and I can see them blowing right past us.    Absolute garbage series from us

3-1 isn't the end of the world.  Could have been worst.  Bats have to start pulling their weight again.

This is not bad at all.

Maybe he needs to take his lumps. Builds character and all that.  ??

I think a lot of it is just trust the fastball. He was throwing a lot of first pitch sliders and curves, and that wasn't what got him through the first two so clean.

How is the bullpen going to cover seven innings? We can't afford to gas them this early in this 18 game stretch.

Put in our worst starter.

Don’t care how good his stuff is. If Miz continues to be this prone to losing his command, he isn’t going to have success in this league.

No need to panic but Miz needs to establish fastball and go from there. You can treat him like he's Kershaw mixing 4 pitches. Place some blame on Contreras.
