It feels like the slew of minor injuries and paternity leaves coming during and on the back end of this crazy hot streak make this stretch a natural time for a tough week, and that is bearing out.  Pisses us as fans off because a chunk of it is coming against the Cubs, but its part of a 162 game grind the players are accustomed to.

 

Hoping they find a way to win yet tonight and tomorrow, but also not going to burn any Brewers gear if they leave Chicago with only a 5 game lead and zero head to heads left against this team trying to catch us

yeah he's just not an every day guy.  When they have to use him that way he gets exposed.

Yeah, Perk is fighting it right now. At least Lockridge has been putting together some good ABs.

It's worth a shot because right now Perkins is unplayable outside of defensive replacement late

My fear is the Cubs’ schedule won’t leave much margin for error in September. It’s insanely easy.
