Diamondbacks at Brewers; Monday, August 25 @ 6:40 p.m.: Brandon Woodruff (2.47 ERA, 3.50 FIP) vs. Eduardo Rodríguez (5.40 ERA, 4.69 FIP)

Thank goodness the Brewers found a way to salvage their fading hopes to finish the season with a winning record by getting win #82, with a week to go in August, and only lost 2.5 games in the standings tonight against an idle Cub juggernaut by lucking into this win.

I can almost see the “Uribe just doesn’t have that closer mentality” that someone had prepped to hit “submit reply” on and are currently holding down the delete button.

Dang another loss apparently as was said earlier by some.  Will the Brewers ever win again?

But have you seen the Cubs schedule? 65-0 this year against teams under .500 so just close it down now. No point to any of it.

Yep season is over no chance at a division title or the #1 or #2 seed in the playoffs.  Just absolutely over we must pack it in and call it a season.

It’s amazing how there are countless responses to something nobody said.

If a pitcher leaves with an inherited runner on at 1st (in this case, Ashby), and is relieved, and the next batter reaches on a fielders choice, with the inherited runner retired, if the runner who reached on the FC ended up scoring, which pitcher would that run be charged to?

I’m not going to scroll ahead to,see if anyone else addressed this, but the answer is that the run is charged to the pitcher who put the original runner on base.

Great play from Abner to end it, and I love the celebration haha. This team having fun and playing with some swagger is good.

I love his recent skip after he completes an inning!
