Sometimes, indeed. Sometimes it’s more about the situation. Contreras laces one to CF but it gives us nothing where a weak ground ball to the right side advances the runner.

Not criticizing Contreras, just saying it’s not always about how hard it’s hit.

Fedde leaves a tough situation for Mears, but he did what you needed, kept you in the game, and ate innings. We were always going to need more than a couple to win this one. Try to keep it to 3, and let's hit.

Murph, this is a couple batters too late.  Fedde gave us 4 solid innings... if we were going to use Mears, why not do it right away, not not after the bases were loaded.
