Unlike the majority of my forum friends - I’m thrilled that Miz is pitching in the sixth inning. The big lead is apparently what he needed to relax & trust his talent & ability. He looks great these last three innings. And he’s been a valuable team member by giving the bullpen rest. Well done, young rookie flamethrower. 💪🙌👏🎉

I'm happy he's pitching in the 6th. The fact that he pitches well with the lead is an important data point.

Miz is different man. The number of pitching prospects we've had in our team's history that are as special as him can be counted on one hand. We are not risking his arm to save Jared Koenig's, respectfully.

If we are that worried about the bullpen then start Tobias tomorrow and follow him up with Carlos and tell those two they get all nine innings regardless of what happens.

Patrick? Sure. Hall? Sure. Myers? Sure. Use them. Ask for more.

Keep Miz on whatever program you have installed for him with reasonable adjustments given this season's circumstances.

If Miz gets hurt from overuse this season and it affects his future,.. it will be an unforgivable malpractice from this front office.

I think Miz is about done this season imo maybe that’s why they are letting him go a little

Don't get me wrong, Ed.  I've loved watching him today and am thrilled he's pitching well.  I just personally disagree with with the choice starting him at all at this point in the season.

Excellent outing for Miz after what seemed like a shaky start.

And Bauers looking like Lou Gehrig.

The bullpen is hardly weary today.

Neither Rodriguez nor Yoho have even pitched since being recalled. Payamps hasn’t pitched in two days.

I mean to be fair two of those guys suck and generally won't pitch in close late lead games anyway.

I agree 💯% … I’ve been suggesting he be moved to the bullpen for quite some time

I think in a season where mgmt seemed to make all the right moves, their kid gloves approach to the starters has taken a toll on the bullpen which is why we find ourselves "unlucky" with bullpen injuries right now.

As for Miz being soft and needing to pitch with a lead, im not buying it. This kid was put in many high pressure situations and handled it well. The staff tried to find ways to cut innings to prep him for postseason so the IL stint was convenient. When he came back, he hasnt found his dominance but also didnt pitch long enough to find his groove. I would attribute much of today to not just the lead, but rather, to the time he was given to find his groove. Expecting to see more of this going forward and the Brewers lengthening his starts again in prep for postseason play.

Not lately

Head to head with Skenes and Kershaw and the allstar controversy in the first month-plus during the heat of the playoff battle. He didnt need the lead to dominate.

Yes … this is completely true

Miz should not have been an all-star … but that was fun for sure
