Let him go. The Cubs have seen him plenty. One more time through the order shouldn't make a difference. Try to get through this game with only Freddy, Mis, and Anderson.

I wouldn't mind getting Megill getting in somewhere in this - he only had that one inning against Cincy

Feels unnecessary to go to Ashby here but I guess with the days off it doesn't really matter.

It's a goofy game all around.  Guys need some real work and there are lots of off days.  I'd prolly just let each guy face 3 batters and cycle through as many bullpen guys as possible.  Megill and Miz could use some game experience.

Good outing all things considered but no reason for him to pitch this inning.  You don’t need 6 innings out of starters with the off days in the playoffs.  Could’ve had 5 strong innings without running him up to 100 pitches.

They still got 5 and 2/3 good innings and less than 100 pitches. Normal Freddy start and he gets to pitch game 4 on normal rest.

I wonder what kind of big league ready arms we could get for Freddy in an offseason trade. I like several of our younger pitchers, but maybe there is a good return for a top pitcher like Peralta.

Let's focus our energies on willing Freddy into winning us a world series first 🤣

Being able to finish the game out without giving the Cubs any bonus looks at the top tier relievers could be helpful for the remainder of the series. Could use a few more tack-on runs in the 6th inning to put the game well out of reach.

Not just a Brewer thing now, most pitchers only go 4-5 in the playoffs now since you can throw your best bullpen out there every game essentially.  So thanks Freddy.

You two are right. I think I'd let Ashby get the 7th and then go Megill for the 8th and Mis for the 9th.

I might be comfortable with Misiorowski if we are up 9-2 with only three outs to go

This seems like a great opportunity for Miz. Get his first playoff appearance out of the way in a relatively low pressure situation, so if we need him in a couple of days, he has less of a chance of being nervous..

Yeah I'm assuming a 6+ run lead. If not it's not worth the risk.

This game is weird.   The crowd is absolutely dead.  Almost feels like we’re down 9-2.   Nothing happening since Jackson went out.

I was away from home and just following the score and was feeling good until I saw about Chourio’s injury.

Between the look on his face and body language he seemed to be thinking “this is just like the last time.”

On the pitchers I wouldn’t play like this game is over. There were several times this season that the Brewers had seemingly comfortable leads and the game ended up going down to the wire. Including one at Wrigley.

If you need to be up by 6 to trust Miz, what the heck is he doing on the playoff roster ?

I feel like we really need to score again.  I don’t want the Cubs to finish the game with any sort of momentum.

At least we won’t have to face Cy Civale for a few games now.

He needs to see only 3 batters just to get him some playing time.

Civale is saving the rest of the Cubs bullpen with that performance so far.

Really just saving Rea and Brown from coming in earlier so whatever

He really is and it's annoying as ****, I wanted them to blow through the bullpen today!

The tbs broadcast has some weird audio going on where they're toning down the audience audio except when there is contact

Exactly, which is why I don't believe that's the plan at all.

Sucks about Chourio but I think you still keep him around to DH/PH.
