My God, to be a Mariners fan right about now...

Gut wrenching.

Rooting for SEA, but I doubt it matters in the end as I don't think either team can hang with the Dodgers.

Cal on deck and struck out with zero pitches anywhere near the zone.

Lousy result for Seattle. Thought they might finally get their World Series berth.

Canada’s Team versus the Dodgers. Not a desired World Series matchup from my perspective. But it’s hard watching games after your team is eliminated anyway.

Hey, at least it involves the "World."

I'll do the same thing I did for the ALCS. Not pay attention until a clinch game.

I'm convinced that Murphy would have brought in Uribe in the 7th if it was them. Wilson didn't bring his best reliever into the highest leverage situation in the game, and he paid for it.

I’m just devastated. It felt like the stars had aligned this year and at least one of the Brewers or Mariners would finally win a pennant.

As said above, a gut-punch to be a Mariners fan.  Three innings away from a WS and a win prob up to 82%.  I've been to both cities and love them both.  Was pulling for Seattle to get their first WS.

I wanted to sit down and watch this game, and caught innings two and three.  Looks like I missed a good one.  But only so many hours in a day.  Retirement can't get here soon enough.

You truly have suffered a one-two punch this month (baseball-wise, which is a first world problem, but still).

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

As tough as it was to watch our Brewers fall apart against the Dodgers, I'm convinced it's a lot easier to take as a fan than it would have been to lose in a Game 7, especially in heartbreaking fashion. After we lost the first two, my psyche was prepared to lose, so while it was obviously still disappointing and I still had a tiny bit of hope, I wasn't really upset by the time the season was over.

Being a Mariners fan right now would be an entirely different feeling.

I think I had moved on from the Brewers before the series was even over. Didn’t even watch the Ohtani game after seeing they were down 3-0 in the 1st.

Honestly though, the Mariners got over a big hurdle this year by finally overcoming the Astros and their run of always missing the playoffs by one game. The Tigers series was a total toss up that ended with an all-time classic. You just never know when you’ll be back though.

The Brewers DID win a pennant.

In 1982 they beat the Angels winning the American League Pennant.

Then they lost both game 6 & 7 to the Cardinals losing the WS - 4 games to 3.

Seattle is the ONLY team without a Pennant, and I was heart broken when Springer hit the 3 run bomb to win  game seven 4-3.

I should have clarified that I was referring to my personal experience of witnessing it during a time period when I was a fan of the team.

I know 1982 has significance for many on this forum but for me it means the same as 1957 or any other event that happened before I was born.

It's too bad you missed 1982.

It was a fun season. (I graduated HS that year)

Seems like a lifetime ago !!

Yep. It's a game seven. The threat has to end there. You can worry about later innings later. A lot of people are dragging Dan Wilson pretty hard. Bazardo has been great for them all year. Yes, Springer had seen Bazardo a couple of times and that would be helpful to him. In hindsight, Munoz would been the better choice. I agree that Munoz would probably have been Murphy's choice. But baseball. An inch here and an inch there, and a great decision is a bad decision.

The bottom line is Bazardo's sinker didn't sink. It floated in the middle of the plate like it was set on a T. And that was that.

Curious, who is your #1?

You can't like them equally, hell, I can't believe anyone can follow or care about two teams in MLB much less follow them closely.  I just do not understand split loyalties.  I'd go as far as to say that if you have more than one "favorite" team, you can't seriously be a real fan of either, but that is a discussion for another day.

I am a Brewers fan, and dislike all the other teams equally, except for the Cubs and Cardinals, those two teams I have actual hate for.

So which is it, had the Brewers played the Mariners in the World Series, who would you have rooted for?
