The other thing to note is that the Badgers are in Portland, which is a long, long trip. That's the case for everyone in the pod. You might be able to win a bar bet (and maybe a free beer!) by asking which school of the four had to travel farthest. It's Hawai'i.

Badgers and Arkansas are both about 1600 miles by air. At least there's no altitude to worry about.

Hawaii is very talented (I think they're better than High Point tell the truth), so maybe they clip the Hogs.

If Hawaii shocks the world:

Me: Hawaii upset Arkansas. Wisconsin plays them next.

Wife: Ooh!!! We should go!!!

Me:  OK. The game's in Portland.

Wife: Oh, wait. I promised to help your sister lay new shelf paper.

Nerd question of the day - who is the host school for Portland?

Portland U?  Portland State?  Oregon?

Should be much more lively in the evening when BYU & Gonzaga take the floor.

I was going to make a joke about soaking……

You can sit 10 rows from the court for under $50 tomorrow. Ugh I wish I could make the trip down from Seattle.

Both Gonzaga & BYU are in the evening session. I wonder what THOSE are going for?💲💲💲💲.

For comparison, last year this game was in Denver also at 11 am.  I went and it was $150 for endzone tickets halfway up the first deck. Bought tickets an hour or so before game so it was about as cheap as it went. One thing to note is BYU was in the same session.        2nd round, was almost $500 for corner seats maybe 15th row.    What a difference being in a convenient location makes

About 4x as expensive for the evening session, but still only $60 for a nosebleed.

It'll be interesting to see the 'crowd' this afternoon. UW travels pretty well & I suspect has somewhat of an alumni base in the Pacific Northwest. Arky travels fairly well---at least they did when I was at NCAA games in Milwaukee when they participated---but Portland is a haul. The other two schools are hell & gone from the venue.

High Point is getting away with grabs and hooks on the rebounds so far.  Once the stripes start calling that I think Wisconsin runs away with it.

It's still weird to me to watch Wisconsin thrive in a fast paced game. They are happy to run up and down with High Point and make less mistakes while doing so.

That was my thought. Both teams happy to play at this pace, and not many TOs either way. UW cleaning up the defensive boards would be nice.

Not sure how effective the HP zone SHOULD be, but it was a good move on their part going to it when they did. It's been a game of runs, and it can be scary if you run into an extended dry spell. But from what I've seen, that really shouldn't happen to UW today. Just don't fall in love with the three TOO much, with the size edge. So far they haven't.

I wonder how many of High Point's offensive rebounds are off missed threes?

I wonder if it is worth trying to attack Martin for a few possessions and see if you can get him to a 4th foul

Probably a fun game to watch if you don’t have rooting interest

Or if you're rooting for High Point. :)

Massively disappointing exit. This team was capable of a deep run, but we all knew the opposite was a possibility.  Just didn’t get it done in crunch time.
