They haven’t announced a cable option yet.  They said it would be closer to opening day.  So don’t expect an announcement until the end of this month or the week of opening day.

Ok. Thanks! Hopefully this is accurate. Any link you can provide where this is reported? The  "help desk" at MLB that I spoke to seemed to have no clue.

edit: Ok, they just mentioned it on today's broadcast...that cable options were coming.

There is a link I shared in this thread that states this.

With the cable channels yet to be announced, any word on if cable subscribers will have to pay more to have access to those channels. I already have a sports package added to my Spectrum subscription (which is a extra monthly fee). Wonder if it will be included within that?

I don't think we could know for sure until it happens but the messaging seemed to be that it would work exactly like it did before on cable. They aren't looking to rewrite how this all happens, it would just simply be MLB/Brewers coming to a deal with the cable companies rather than Diamond Sports/FanDuel.

That would make sense, and I hope that's how it works!

The Dbacks when they went to MLB broadcasting are on the same channel they were on when it was a regional sports network for cable.  I am fairly confident this is what will happen with the Brewers though maybe not the same channel as the Bucks would still be playing and airing on TV for a portion of the Brewers season.  No changes to the cable package occurred when this happened.

Did you get any feedback from Nate? He's my ticket rep as well and I just sent him an email with questions, but I received a bounce-back and appears that he is out this week.

One of my questions is if streaming is the only option? I'm not a fan of streaming for anything other than Movies or certain series. I'm a flipper, especially when watching sports, Many times I'm flipping to other sports (or other programing) during commercials of Brewer games. Does anyone know if there is any availability of this on Spectrum cable?

I thoroughly enjoy that Nate is the ticket rep for so many of us.  ☺️  Though there are periods when he is just really hard to reach.  He does keep his autoreply up to date, though.

All indications so far are that a channel for "traditional" cable customers (which includes the hawing household) will be established, but it hasn't been announced yet.  So we play the waiting game, even if we'd rather play Hungry Hungry Hippos.  (IYKYK)

Only insomuch as it’s from the same show that taught us that 64 slices of American cheese can make one blind.

For T-Mobile subscribers, look for your free MLB.TV subscription on March 24-30th (via the T-Life app).

It looks like you get it monthly at $6 a month which unless you want year round MLBTV probably makes more sense.

Thanks for the tip. ... will try to sign up for the monthly plan later.

Well, bummer.  It looks like the monthly plan requires 12 months of payments.  So, the only options are a one-time $60 payment (double the cost of last year) or 12 x $6 payment (more than double).

Hard to swallow being charged $6 /mo for those 4-5 months where I'll have no reason to listen to MLB radio or watch the MLB Network.  And $60 /yr seems steep for 6-7 months of a little bit of radio and 1 TV channel compared to the $200 /yr we pay for the FoxOne streaming service and its ~8 TV channels that we use year-round, with lots of sports programming on Fox, FS1, FS2, and B1G Network.

Whenever I've done it, barely any Brewer games I was allowed to watch if any since my first year on the phone subscription.   I generally just follow along on the GameDay feed.  I think I could watch replays of the games, but when I know the result defeats the purpose.

I live in MN, so the only games I don't see are Twins games.  If you are WI, I think you can see the away games.  Certainly not an option for everyone, but some people benefit from it.  And since it is free...

I made sure I had Channel 308 set up on Spectrum.  It'll cost an extra $10 a month, so I won't sweat it.

On the guide, it was showing a spring training game in progress, but I couldn't see it, just a screen saying "Programming 4".  I contacted them and they said the channel wasn't going active until March 26, so I should be set for the season.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

I'm not sure this is right, the way I'm reading it is it will be charged monthly and even though they do not say it (it is strangely worded on their website) I would assume you can cancel at any time. So you wouldn't have to do it for the full 12 months.

When I looked up the FAQ I saw this:

Since it's charged monthly there will be a billing date every month.

In any case, it looks like they are offering a free trial for MLB+, I would suggest signing up for that and reading the email they send you regarding renewal.

Just an FYI, my wife said she found an article (or something) that said DirecTV channel for Brewers TV will be announced on Thursday (yes, on opening day 🙄) as they are still negotiating with MLB about the rights to broadcast games.

unbelievable.  But totally believable
