Game 12: Packers @ Lions - Thursday, Nov. 27th @ 12:00 PM - Happy Thanksgiving!

9 days off is really welcome right now

If the eagles can drop the bears and the pack follow suite you can almost put one hand on the division title.

Given that on the stats side it was basically a coin flip to go for it on the last 4th down I don't mind. But whether you are willing to go for it or not, but especially if you are then running the ball on 3rd to get it down to a 1:20 second game before you punt is a must in that case.

I'd be alright either way. Bears beat the Eagles, the Packers just take care of business and they'd have a shot at the #2 seed.

The #1 seed isn't out of reach, but that game @ Denver is one game we should be underdogs in. Hell, we could lose any of the games remaining without it being a big upset. but if the offense can get rolling, get Reed back... we could go on another run.

Losing Wyatt hurts though. There's only 5-6 players who are more important IMO.
Love, Parsons, Watson, Tom... and that may be it.

They're saying they "fear ligament damage" to his ankle, but... MLF gave the "I'm sick for him," thing which... has pretty much been the "his season's over" line.

Remember when Lions fans were saying Parsons doesn't move the needle for the Packers and they weren't afraid of him???

Yup... the same delusional ones who said they wouldn't miss Ben Johnson. I don't think the Bears are as good as their record this year, but Ben Johnson has to be the coach of the year.

Now Detroit is on the outside looking in.

"Michael" as he's known by Jerry... he should have never been on the market. Myles Garrett or Max Crosby, a team rebuilding with a superstar Edge who could get you a couple firsts, they made sense... and one of those two said the only other team that'd consider playing for was the Lions. I thought they'd end up being the ones who'd give up almost anything to get that player opposite Hutchinson.

Instead dude just terrorized them. Even when he was lined up over Sewell, he made him look bad a couple times. The type of OT who only gives up 1-2 sacks a year and Parsons made him look... average.

I also remember posting I don't remember a less enthusiastic feel to the Packers during camp and heading into the season... and then like 2 days later the Parsons trade happened. This was after the rumor they'd agreed to 45M a year, btu before anyone took it seriously. Or... at least I didn't. Who trades a 26 year old LT type player.

Finally... I was frustrated that MLF was so conservative, but dude swung ALL the way in the other direction and did his best Dan Campbell impression.

TE snaps on offense in the Lions game-

Musgrave = 37

Whyle = 32

FitzPatrick = 15

Musgrave out of the dog house.

I don't think it has anything to do with being "in the doghouse" as it is their gameplan.  If they can or think they can run the ball effectively, then FitzPatrick is going to get a lot of snaps.  If they can't run or think they can pass effectively, then it's going to be Musgrave.

I don't think Musgrave was ever in the doghouse. He just had a bad game last week. He's always been the #2 tight end and with Kraft out for the year, he's now the de facto #1, so of course he's going to get the most snaps.

I will provide the most irrelevant post of the thread: I thought Wicks was going to be a shoo-in for a turkey leg, standing front-and-center.  Maybe MVP and an EA interview.  Instead, he's barely on the edge of the screen.

Beat Detroit at its own game.

Nixon's illegal contact on 3rd-and-15.  With the pass rush working, need better situational awareness than that (unless burned on a double-move).

Rewatched the second half this morning and while at the time I was too apoplectic about not running to realize it but Watson should have had that last 3rd down grab. It was an easier chance than Wicks on 4th, sure it was contested but he has shown such great hands this year you have to squeeze that for the win.

I think Watson just got hit when he wasn't expecting it.  Pretty common play, but when you aren't expecting it...

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."
