The dugout view made it appear that Vaughn’s foot was on the middle of the base until the ball got there, and he was sliding it to the edge as Tatis slid into his foot. So it didn’t seem as bad as the first view. But Tatis did end up sliding into Vaughn’s side of the bag, and it was almost certainly intentional.

Well Miz looked like the best pitcher in baseball that inning. The at bats by France and Duran were two of the most uncompetitive at bats professionals could muster.

It seems we see one or two of these bad defensive plays from the other team most nights.  Therefore I suppose it's the norm in baseball but I'm glad it's not the norm for our defense.
