Our whole offense is hopefully our pitching keeps is around d long enough until the other team messes up a routine play.     Crazy strategy

I'm sure Ortiz is a fine human being, but whenever he comes up to bat, I lose hope of scoring or even continuing an inning.  (OK, a walk; woot.)

Anybody miss Keston Hiura?

<pause>

How about Isaac Collins or Caleb Durbin?

What a bad non-challenge. You need all the help you can get, Rengifo.

He would have just had the same result in a more favorable count.

We’re 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position.

Rengifo is 0-for-his-last-11.

Let’s win anyway. Somehow, someway.

Benefit of that inning is getting all the way around to the top of the order.

Hasn't been a good series for the Brewers offensively. Lucky to get 2 of 3, honestly.

Bullpen will be rested and in good shape for the Cubs series. We'll see if we get any roster moves on the infield.

On the whole, not going to complain about a 4-2 week.

For the weekend it’s 3 for 31 with RISP, and the one hit last night didn’t drive in a run.

They’ve been just as bad advancing runners

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

You must not be following the chat. Ortiz got on base all 4 times today. Today we are mad at Hamilton and Rengifo and a little bit Gasser and probably still Perkins somehow. Check back in tomorrow for the usual Ortiz fury I would think.

When I was a mediocre but enthusiastic softball coach, and when I knew the other team's weakest batter was up, I would give a sign to our pitcher that meant "just throw strikes and she'll get out."  That's the sign I'd throw if Ortiz* came up to bat,

I miss Collins and Durbin every game.  I also realize Durbin is struggling on Boston.  Maybe he just played better here with a different culture.

No one is “mad” at Blake Perkins. They just want him optioned. Or better yet, DFAed. That feeling hasn’t wavered from day to day.

I concede your point, sir! I have just been able to start paying attention to the game. I've been cooking at church and hanging curtain rods at home.  No excuse for ignorance, though; thanks for calling me out.
