I wonder how many games we’ve gotten the whole Rattlers gang together (Pena, Ragsdale, Dinges, Fischer, Adamczewski, Payne, and Bitonti).

if I was the Brewers, I think Josh Adamczewski would be nearly untouchable in a trade. I just really, really believe he's going to be a good MLB hitter. I envision him being similar to the version of Bauers we are seeing this year.

I count 6 games. Undefeated.

Ragsdale is en fuego. 333/434/467 in May and he's 5 for 8 in June.

Jose Nova gave us a scoreless 3 K 9th frame , preserving the 10-4 'W', in a way only 2026 T-Rat Jose Nova can:

3 BB, 2 WP

Zesty!

Not arguing the talent that JA appears to have.  But I would think that if the Brewers have to give up a top-10 prospect or two to get impact major league talent, he would be one of the most expendable, simply because if he is limited to LF that is arguably the easiest position to find a quality bat.

In the OF he has LL ahead of him, Payne at the same level, Chourio isn't going anywhere for a long time, Frelick isn't a FA until 2030, and if Made/Pena/Pratt all make it then maybe Williams has to move to the OF.  You know JA's defense better than I do, but my guess is that all of those guys would be ahead of him defensively.  Knowing how the Brewers value defense, he would have to be markedly better at the plate to earn a starting spot over those guys.

As for DH, Yelich likely isn't going to be a FA until at least 2030. By 2030, JA will be on his last option year if that's how long it takes to find a spot for him.

Yeah I think everything you said makes a lot of sense (though I think Yelich is almost certainly a FA after 2028 and won't have the mutual option picked up) but I just really think Adamczewski might have a special bat. It wouldn't shock me at all if he becomes the best hitter out of the guys currently in the system. He really just seems like a complete hitter. Good contact rates, good chase rates, good power, good batted ball angles. Maybe that's less important if guys like Made and Pena can hit their potential but I really can't think of the last hitter to come through the system that was as complete as Adamczewski looks.

LHP Andrew Healy looks to continue his solid 5-game run (16 IP, 6 R, 18 Ks), as Low-A Wilson aim for a 2-0 home series advantage over Salem. 2B Juan Ortuno (.755 OPS in 177 PAs) returns for his first action since Thursday.

Red-hot 24-year old RHP Tyson Hardin (0.96 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, 8.7 K/9 in last 18.2 IP) seeks to lead AAA Nashville to a victory to even their series at Jacksonville. SS Cooper Pratt’s season OPS is up to .750 thanks to his 22-game on-base streak.

Note: OF Luis Lara was a late scratch to the lineup.

Manny gave up a bomb in the 7th but still had a strong line: 6.2 IP 2 H 1 ER 0 BB 5 SO. Jimenez and Wagoner went the rest of the way to secure a 3-1 win. Key one in the battle with Montgomery over the first half lead

I know he's been out a LONG time, but he's soon to be 25 & I wonder if AAA is in Wagoner's immediate future if he continues to shine? He's gotten off to a terrific start.

Sounds like Pena will be back in the lineup tomorrow according to an article on MiLB’s website

Tried to give Chourio a rest day = Brewers lost by 1 run.

Gave Lara a rest day = Sounds lost by 1 run.

Sorry gentlemen. We tried, but it didn't work.

the dude can rake. He's underrated by everyone on here in these prospect lists. Idk why he hasn't even been promoted yet.

Yes he can hit very well. I am not sure I would call him "underrated by everyone on here" as he has a lot of fans here. But his lack of positional home really limits him.  He could be 2B, but as an OF he will need to play well or wind up like a Tyler Black.  His swing is sweet and he is a natural hitter, but his defense and so far true "power" limits him. Plus this organization has a lot of very good prospects (Made, Pena, Fischer Dinges) or solid prospects at higher levels (Lara along with Pratt and Williams), that Adamczewski is right there in the top 10 mostly in a system with 5-7 top 100 prospects.

His bat is levels above what Tyler Black's bat has ever been.

ok, fair, but the analogy of he needs to hit to force himself into a position.  And Black was a pretty good hitter, his hit tool flattened out as he advanced and as he got older.  Josh A has the potential to have elite hit tools, but is doing very well at high A, and when he moves up will need to continue to do the same.
