Why did they go Ashby over Uribe? Weird choice.

Don't worry we will need Uribe tomorrow.

Well, when they started the bottom of the inning they had a 4 run lead.

Seriously am I missing something? Did Uribe do something wrong for this demotion?

I was thinking it was because they already has Ashby warming up when Yoho was on the mound, so why warmup a second guy if you have faith in Ashby.

With the NL Central mainly losing tonight this one was a fun steal.

Also, it was not a fun steal because the warts are showing.

Kudos to Bauers and Sal. Welcome back Yoho. Get well soon Fitz. Get on the phone Arnold.

And breathe!! A win! Eventually! Gettem tomorrow!

Who replaces Fitz? C-Rod?

Or McGee.  And suddenly we're eagerly hoping for Koenig's fast return.

I turned it off after the Rockies loaded the bases with no outs because I knew it was in the bag

Yoho's innings were huge.  In a similar situation yesterday the pen got lit up and even though the bats woke up late it wasn't enough.  His 2 scoreless kept them in position to win.  Also Bauers and Frelick, clutch

"The wild, wild west." Truer words were never spoken by Dillard after this one ended.

Two things I thought I'd never, ever see and I saw both in the same game:

A team get one-hit thru 8 innings & finish with 9 runs, and

A starting pitcher (Feltner) go six innings, throw 37 pitches in one frame & not throw more than 12 in each of the other five.

It truly looked like an off-day for the offense, from Yelich w/2 on & 2 out in the 2nd inning putting up one of his patented "Oh, is there a game today?" ABs, to Hamilton leading off the eighth down by two runs getting to 2-0 with the top of the order due up, taking a pitch out of the zone for ball three, seeing it called a strike, and not challenging even though we had both of 'em remaining. Even Turang in the 9th swinging 2-0 leading off the frame wasn't overly bright IMO (he singled one pitch later though).

Sproat was weird. Not a ton of walks but the 0-2, 1-2 counts & not making quality pitches, and hit harder than his stuff should allow. Maybe blame it on the altitude & whatnot, and I'm on board with letting him get all he can eat re his starting games, but the string might be running out.

Yoho looked pretty effective, but it seems to me like he needs to trust his stuff just a bit more. Hit your spots with 93-94, it makes the change that much better.

And, Jake Bauers for mayor. After this, I'll sleep good.

I'll say the have some warts.  But one of the warts was Woodford and Yoho looked promising replacing him.  Another was Frelick's bat and hes been hitting better.  Rengifo and Perkins hopefully are next.  So, while I understand what you are saying, the warts might be decreasing. The promising thing is they have this record and some clear roster roles that can be improved upon.

Woodruff please report to the ballpark. Time for you to earn some of that cash you have banked. We need you.

Or, you could wrap him and his shoulder in bubble wrap and open it in September.
