Biloxi with another game postponed today

We need to get out of that league, I know contracts are until 2030 but man it is so counterproductive to have 2 or 3 rainouts a week.

Whenever we play Fredericksburg it's a great reminder how important age is when it comes to minor league success. Fredericksburg are pretty consistently one of the oldest teams in the Carolina League. The guy who started for them today is 23 and had a sub 3 ERA with a 5 to 1 K:BB ratio over nearly 70 innings this year. He had few issues with the young Wilson lineup. If this pitcher was in the Brewers org, he would have been in A+ like 10 starts ago.

Dorchies through 6, 1 run, 4 hits, 1 walk, 3 ks and only 68 pitches. So far so good.

Ragsdale has 2 hits bringing his average up to .322, he probably deserves a promotion. There are a couple decent Wilson option to replace him.

Ok. Dorchies 7 strong innings 5 H, 1 BB, 1 ER, 2 K, and only 82 pitches. Color me impressed.

Payne with 2 hits, and Pena 1 for 3, subbed out presumably by design.

ACL Brewers losing to the ACL Scrubs. 😡😡😡

But Bentley with 10 K in 4.1 IP.  So 10 of 13 outs via the K. Did give up 2 runs on 2 HR, and 75 pitches. Hitters need to get some runs down 2-1…..

‘WAIT. HR by Flores 2-2 game. Yes sir

EDIT: sorry it was a 2-run HR and it’s 3-2 Brew Crew. Hot dang.

Brock Wilken HR, his third in 5 games

also Wilken playing 3B for the first time since April 12th and Luke Adams at 1B kinda strange

Well, Adams is pretty much a 1B only these days, so not that strange.

Bentley was a guy I was curious about after they payed him over slot out of IMG academy $757k which was a new record for a 19th round pick.

Mobile, AL (about 60 miles from Biloxi) is the 2nd rainiest city in the continental US per the interwebs.

Have you been there? Have you experienced the rains off the Gulf? Have you been bogged down in the humid air? Have you ridden a Nutria on its back down the Delta screaming "Yee-Haw!!"?!?

(Feeling a lil spicy this morning. The 8 yo is running me ragged. Apologies)

I watched every Frias at bat so far in WIlson and I've came away fairly impressed by his bat to ball skills. Also his pitch recognition looks advanced for his age as well. I really like seeing that in a young man with serious juice. If we can alter the swing path so it is not just beating balls in the dirt and limit the chase. He will be a serious serious prospect. Just my 2 cents.
