I admit I turned off last night's game, and flipped over to the Cubs-Padres game, which didn't go great for me. I lost all around.

This is not something to admit Brock!

Would love to get six solid from Sproat. And no more of the 1 hit through 6 or 7 innings from the offense. Somebody needs to step up and lead especially with RISP.

Looks like it's necessary to grind through this one without Ashby. Patrick, or Megill, I'd really prefer if one of the 3 back-end starters went to the pen after this series. We're on game 5 of the 18 in 17 stretch, and it's already a problem to have only 7 in the pen.

Sounds like another Kuhnel save. 😏

Just heard on MLB Network

The MLB is working on check swing technology because of all the questionable calls on check swings.

That is fantastic news.  Please get the bonehead ump decisions completely out of the game.

They are testing this in the PCL. I think fans need to be prepared because the check swing line is a 45 degree angle so it's much more hitter friendly than how check swings are currently called

Greg Amsinger on MLB Network just said:  Can the Brewers win the division with Lewis Rengifo at 3rd base?  And everyone just looked at him and didn't say a word.

LOL, what a moron, Rengifo hasn't been on the Brewers since Pratt was called up 7-8 days ago.

Amsinger has never been a favorite of mine. To me he comes off as the cool kid who wants everyone to see that he gets to hang out with ex-major-leaguers.

If Ohtani was with the Brewers he'd know every player on the team, what they had for lunch, favorite color, pets............

BTW For anyone not aware, Rengifo was signed by the Padres. Not currently active though.

Yelich out of the leadoff spot please

I've probably been as big a critic of Yelich as anyone on here. But he's going to keep getting ABs in the hope he can get hot, and in the meantime I don't really want him coming up with runners on base. It's not ideal leading him off but I'd probably just leave him there vs RHP. I mean, right now he's hitting behind Chourio & still not getting a lot of pitches to hit because pitchers don't need to; he'll chase anything. But right now hitting him among guys like Pratt, Hamilton & Ortiz probably makes it even worse.

For now I'd leave him be & sit him vs LHP.

I really think this is a big turning point game for Sproat. This is the one where it’s kind of either “okay I really think he’s figured something out” or “it maybe was just a couple nice games.”

Arm has got to be loose for Sproat with the heat.. I wonder if he can get to 101 on the gun today.

He might get to 101 pitches first.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.
