I'd love for someone to ask Murphy why Yelich and Turang are immune from being pinch hit for but Bauers whose been way better hitting than them continues to get hit for.

He’ll have to overcome both Skenes and the return of the PNC Park hex  

I don’t think the Brewers have ever gone into the final game of a series in that park needing a win to avoid a sweep and actually won it.

Fortunately this is just a 3 game series instead of some of the 4 and 5 game series of the past.

Yelich can't even get a pinch runner and then just sat a first base.

They have fallen behind first in 7 of the 10 games on this road trip. Pretty incredible be to 6-4 on the trip so far when you're constantly falling behind.

Goes for Mitchell too. His average and OBP are basically identical in his career lefty/righty. No power but no need to pinch hit for him consistently. Turang really should be platooned if offense is the only thing to consider.

Yeah, it often is. But there are hitters you need to turn around, or see a LHP just due to the splits. So another option they trust needs to be found.

I'll admit, I didn't think his #s were quite that skitchy over the last month.
