I appreciate & understand limiting innings for our young pitchers … but four innings & 65 pitches seems too conservative to me. This game is far from over. I prefer Murphy’s “win today” approach.

Murphy said before the game they were going to have to build him back up workload wise.  Something to that affect, so I'm guessing he was penciled in for 60-70 pitches.

That makes me feel a little better. 65 pitches after missing just one start was a little concerning.
