If Ortiz can get back to 700 OPS this year, is that 3b Woah Solvd?

If the Mets wanted Yelich for Peralta straight up would you do it? 🤨

LMJ looks great tonight!

We all know this would never be an option, but if it were …. I’d take that deal all day every day just to get out of the last two years of that contract

.700 is basically MLB average at 3B this year. He only needs .675 with his defense, anything above that is a bonus.

Don't want average, want SOLVD

Mcc likes to work the middle.

He's a vet that knows his team is winning and doesn't want to walk people. Don't mind that outing.

McCullers control was pretty poor in this inning.  Lots of non-competitive pitches.  Do the Brewers give him another inning?

Got to shoehorn Ashby into this game somehow

Vaughn/Bauers tandem have been the engine to this offense when it was good.

They are definitely not the only two guys who have been slumping as of late, but the two of them going 5 for July thus far is probably not coincidental with the offense being sluggish.

If you can’t get Bryse an inning here, then when? McCullers hit a wall.

He can be the long man for the rest of the series

One inning here doesn’t preclude him from being the long man the rest of the series. I’m totally fine with going Anderson. But it’s also a very logical spot for Bryse.

No but generally you don't want your long man going back to back days. Odds are highest he will be needed tomorrow with Sproat starting.

I assume Wilson will be long relief tomorrow or Wednesday if needed

I would disagree with that logic. If tomorrow is close, you don’t want to use Bryse. You’d be much more inclined to use Anderson for say the 5th before the A bullpen. Now, that would make it 3 days in a row for him.

BA calling that shot was kind of cool.

That was only about the 25th time in the few games he has called that he mentioned that Pratt was looking for his first MLB HR. He had to hit it eventually.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Anyone know what the average game length has been so far this year?

Curious if the challenge system has changed strike zone consistently(shrank) and made the games longer.

I am guessing overall walk rate would show that as well.
