Nice to see the Big League Brewers bullpen tip their cap to the DSL Brewers. Heck of an inning to salute your Dominican Academy brethren!

This turned out to be quite the understatement.

I was thinking 2 or 3... Not a six pack and a solo

Worst case scenario the Brewers end today with a 5 game division lead and 4 game lead over the Braves for the bye. The Brewers came out of the ASB with a 5 game division lead and a 3.5 game lead over the Braves for the bye. Holding the line for two weeks is not bad.

It kinda is when your schedule was pretty weak.

Call me an old man yelling get off my lawn, but I’m so sick of Contreras and Chourio not running out ground balls. Especially double plays, where one bobble would mean they’re safe if they actually showed any effort.

Chourio and Contreras (I know he's not playing today) are just giant boat anchors in our lineup right now. Their AB quality is just horrible compared to everyone else on the roster. These two absolutely need to get it going.

Bingo this was time to make some distance if anything.

With the loss today they are 8-4 post ASB. You seriously expected them to play better than .667% baseball in these first four series?

Here's the Bryse Wilson who couldn't even get hitters out in AAA all year.  Going to need a fake IL stint for him or Pannone to get Stallings back up.  And DL Hall's return can't come soon enough.

The numbers obviously aren't bad from a complete view, but losing a series to the Giants feels not great. Especially with how poor the offense has looked at times off break. This was also a very winnable game that Skip punted (I get why Pannone started though)

It was 3-2 when Pannone left the game. Still very winnable. Patrick and Ashby fell apart. The Cubs dropped a series to the below .500 Tigers last week when not even facing their two best SP (Skubal and Mize)

If they lost to the good teams the rub would be that they aren't good enough to beat the best. They lose to the crappy ones and it's a "bad look." It's baseball and they are going to have skids.

I wouldn't quite say the division is wrapped up but it is in good hands, the playoffs are a lock, and the Cubs welcome the Yankees and Dodgers once they finish with St. Louis. They're fine. They need the top arms ready for October. Nothing outside of that really matters right now. Even if 1-9 were raking it wouldn't mean much 2 months from now.

Can someone tell me why the Brewers threw in the towel before the game even started today. Just like they did when they pulled the Miz before his start against Pittsburg, before the all star game. They start a guy from tripple A who hasn't pitched in years to give our pitchers rest. Twice they've done this against bad teams and lost miserably. To me you play to win or dont even play. It is super annoying when we just take the day off against teams we should beat. You know if the Cubs win tonight they'll only be 5 games out, which certainly is not an insurmontable lead for us. Am I the only one who feels this way? It's not fair to the fans who love this team to not see our best effort especially if we go to watch them in action.

Disappointed fan.
