It truly angers me what is happening with Joey.

You put him on the bench permanently, during a time when he literally was one of, if not, the best hitter on the team, and completely shut him down.  It's almost like Murphy is actually just being a mean old man for some reason.

How can we expect him to hit like before when he is absolutely just buried on the bench?

What possible situation do you take a HOT hitter, and without an injury, you just completely ignore him?

His defense is far better than Hamilton, his offense has been far better, yet here we are?

Is Murphy just being a dick?  Proving a point that he has power?

I just don't understand it...

This is the problem with playing matchups. If you flip a coin enough times you get heads like 5 times in a row and the result is benching a hot hitter for a week. 

Not sure how much of this is Murphy...we know he has some control over batting order but in many cases the analytics are informing these decisions.

If he's being benched for Wade Boggs fine but man David Hamilton is as far away from everyday third baseman profile as possible. We were not sure if Durbin fit the bill now this.

Don’t think he’ll be throwing any complete game shutout but there is a lot to work with here.

Joey is playing like every other game I don't have a problem with that.

Yeah.  Murphy does many things well.   Continuing to play Christian and his lack of common sense strategy at 3B is another...

Murph might be the classic, take a 75 wins team and elevate them to 95 wins... but that doesn't mean that his approach can work in the playoffs

Mitchell batting 3rd is like having a great blackjack shoe but not pressing your bet until the next shoe, then you lose it all very quickly.
