Sorry if this has been discussed before. Magic number is 9, not 10, since the Brewers now own the tie breaker.  No? If true, how are the broadcasters unaware of that?

With the win, the Brewers move to 8 games up and clinch the season series against the Cubs, meaning they would have to gain 9 games on the Brewers with 17 to play to take the Central.

Simply not happening.

I can't blame CC for his pitching management. He was really in a no-win situation on whether to pull Boyd or not. IMO he made the right decision, it just didn't work out for him.

I don’t think everybody thinks about the impact of the tiebreaker. It is a relatively new concept.
