I really hate Matt. Not because he took the penalty, but because that's what the guru came up with on 4th and 1 behind his knowingly awful OL. 

It's bad that I'm almost hoping for this season to faceplant on the off chance we are rid of him.

I personally have no problem with his choice to take the 4th and 1. It's everything after that, that was classic Matt.

I dont care what anyone says, dont ever take points that give you an 8 point lead in the 4th quarter off the board because a penalty gives you a 4th and short....especially when you dont have a running back on your roster.

If it's a half a yard to go that's a good play, but that was literally one full yard. Gotta be more imaginative than that.

Going for it was absolutely the right call. QB sneak, however, wasn’t. To LaFleur’s credit, he became much better about when to go for it last year after really backsliding on that for several seasons before that. But you have to have a better call than that. That was completely uninspiring (unless Love checked to that after reading the defense).

You're allowed to throw the ball on 4th and 1. I can't believe you are defending a QB sneak behind that OL. I would think Mr. Inventive could draw up a play for 1.5 yards. Love isn't Josh Allen either. That's not even his game.

None of this should come as any surprise. You hitch your wagon to a loser, you’re going to continue to play like losers when the chips are down. 

They had every excuse to “go in a different direction” after how their season ended last year. They stuck by their loser.

Nothing would make me happier than the firing of Matt LaFleur but going for it was fine. That's the jugular move that everyone says the Packers are afraid to take. Get a touchdown on that drive and the game is over (well for anyone other than the Packers). This "never take points off the board" stuff is the same turtling that everybody says they hate.

Yeah I just do not agree with this at all. If the penalty gives you a 1st down, okay, I’ll take the points off the board.
