Gives up more deep fly balls than I’d like and my gut says he’s been a little lucky, but cannot argue with the numbers and I trust him (mostly)

Was done with Harrison two appearances ago.  His spot is probably going for Anderson or Wilson, but I'd rather have been cycling through Koenig and Crow in the meantime.   

 

DL, on the other hand, will be counted on for important postseason innings.

I’m guessing they just want to try to give him one single outing to feel good about and send him trending back in the right direction. It is just not happening. 

I think they really don’t want to leave him off the playoff roster. I just don’t see how you can possibly trust him in any situation in any playoff game,

That's int: Louisiana guy says a few years ago tons of pitchers had junk on their fingers.  I didn't know that.  I wondered why umps have gotten so militant on checking pitchers at the end of innings.

My guess is that they were trying to wait for Wilson to come off of the IL.  If they bring up Crow and send him down again right away, he isn't eligible to be recalled for 15 days.  They might be holding Crow for the last week to give the staff some innings.

Wilson went 4 IP yesterday, so he'll need another day or two.  Need to see how his back responds.

On cue. Two deep fly balls caught in the 5 outs he got. Yet, 1.2 scoreless innings again.

Chourio had one bad month, three really good ones, and an average first month after returning from injury.

Turing is on fire or ice, which makes a bit of sense since he overhauled his approach only a year ago.
