What is inexplicable is this isn't the same Brewers team I've  been watching all season.  They usually wilt in the post season so this isn't surprising.

How many more years are on Turangs deal?

Just enters arbitration years in the offseason. Assuming no changes in the CBA and arbitration rules, he would be under club control through the 2029 season.

Why do the Brewers change what they do all season, once they get into the playoffs? They don't make Pitchers work, they don't steal bases, they don't play solid defense. I just don't get it.

If you say so.

I'm just being a pedant.

By the way, he's a free agent after the 2029 season, for clarity's sake. This offseason is his first of three arbitration years.

Edit: Correction, was Turang a super two? Must be, because he has three years of arbitration remaining and was already in arb in 2026.

It's simple. They don't face crappy pitchers.

When in the game doesn't matter nearly as much as the game situation, and two runners on base in a 0-0 game is *exactly* when you deploy a challenge.

If it was obvious, yes. But if it’s borderline, no.

We worked two full counts and a walk that inning.

they’ve been selectively aggressive on the bases.

i have no idea on the defense

That shouldn't  keep them from working counts(should apply even more vs good pitching), that doesn't keep them from playing crappy defense, and it doesn't keep them from stealing bases.

Up 2-1 against a team that was 41-18 on the second half and won like 17 of their last 20.
