Got that nervous anticipation feeling right now, but morning chores will keep me occupied until the game starts.

I'm hoping Gasser is the unsung hero he has the definite potential to be.

Go get 'em lads. 3-0 sure has a nice ring to it, don't you think? 😀

Tonight is the night to go for the jugular if it's there for the taking - Gasser has been pitching well and I like him to keep the Dodgers from going crazy offensively through 5+ innings.  Snell set the tone for last year's NLCS by dominating the Brewers over 8 innings, often getting ahead early with well-placed fastballs and then got them to chase offspeed all night from the exact same release point/tunneling.  He's not locked in this October like he was last year - look for the Brewers to try staying patient and hope to rack up a high pitch count, but I think certain hitters could ambush him by sitting dead red and doing damage.  Keep getting into the Dodger pen - it's not a huge weakness, but keep forcing them to log high leverage innings every game.

With the travel day off giving the Brewers' key relievers a day of rest, go for the win tonight if you can and then you can rest an arm here or there tomorrow.  I think the one thing you can't do from a pitching standpoint is empty the pen of high leverage arms tonight and wind up losing a tight game - that sets up poorly for Game 4 with May starting.  If Gasser doesn't have it early, I think you need to let Harrison and Patrick give you multiple innings to rest the key pen arms and set up Game 4 better as a bullpen game.

Same here. Doing stuff around the house to burn off the nervous energy. If we can figure out a way to win this one, life will be very good.

I'm hoping for 5 good innings from Bobby Gas. Maybe a solo homer from the Dodgers, or even 2, but nothing more than that.

Rosenthal was saying this morning that David Hamilton was gonna be in the lineup today and they were undecided about Yelich

I want Miz to go tomorrow for this reason. You have to do everything you can to keep this from tying up.

Starting Hamilton against a lefty would be wild. Looks like same lineup as game 1, with Vaughn starting at DH, Lara in RF and Ortiz at third.

I agree. This game could be the kill shot or it could open the door for the Dodgers to make this a much more competitive series where you're facing Yamamoto and Skubal again in Games 5 and 6...

If you get a lead, you have to use your pen like this is the series. Really... REALLY need to make Snell work and get back to that pen, but just as important is the defense needs to be sharp. No free runs, no extra outs.

I think the series is still about 50/50.
Win tonight and... it's looking MUCH better.
(That 50/50 may just be me trying to protect against getting too excited!)

Looks like Rosenthal was wrong

The ONLY thing I'd change... is Frelick for Mitchell... and I wanted that Gm4 of last series and it was obviously not the right answer.

I just need Mitchell to loosen up at the plate! Let it go! Can't be watching Fastballs over the middle. Be selective without just looking to walk.

So... here's to hoping I'm equally as wrong this time as I was Gm4 last series.

Why on earth wouldn’t you just bat Bauers before Vaughn? Why stack lefties back to back? Especially when Mitchell is definitely worse vs lefties statistically

That's just dumb. There's no way you bat him against Snell.

Bauer's been pretty decent against lefties so I'm not surprised it was just a straight Yelich/Vaughn swap, but would've been nice to see what El Gary did against him.

It's definitely some sort of 4D chess...I think they are trying to bait Roberts to go to the bullpen faster than he otherwise would have...tempt him into bringing in a lefty perhaps.

These quotes from the Dodgers show their experience and make me thing they are going to put up a good fight tonight.

It’s 2 hours from game time. How are we feeling? I’m nervously excited. Grilling some fajitas for my family for dinner.

I know it’s game 3 and we are up 2-0 but it almost feels like game 7 to me……not sure I’m going to survive if we actually do face an elimination game.

Last year by this time it was much easier……we pretty much knew it was over by game 3.
