There were barely any alumni there.

On BREWERS TERRITIORY Knebel said Fielder didnt want to go because the 2026 team accomplished this, not him,  Knebel didnt attend for a similar reason.

Given how few people were in that alumni trailer, most ex players felt the same way.

Can't blame them and, frankly, I believe them.  I don't mind the HOF level alumi being there, especially Yount becuse I think he stays connected to the team, but everyone else is meh.  Have a Jenkins day at a game or something but this actually is about this team doing something no one else has.

Definitely a little weird, especially if you were a 2011 or 2018+ player who actively failed in the postseason.

I saw plenty of players thrilled and cheering for the Brewers in the postseason. CC infamously switched to the Brewers after NY lost ticking off Cleveland fans. Lol

Lots of guys excited, just know it isn’t their moment.

They make it up out of thin air.

They can get an estimate of how many unique cell phone signals are in the area.  Factoring in young children, about 90% of people are carrying one, so divide the number of unique signals by 0.9.  (With an AG waiver, law enforcement can triangulate any unique cell phone signal to a 50' radius area.)

They can also get an estimate of how many people are in a particular area by using 1 person per 2 square feet and estimate the number of square feet.  For a one mile route, if people are stacked 30' deep on each side of the street, that's over 150K right there.

But when Robin was on stage, you could just feel how uncomfortable he was because he wanted it to be about them. And then when they handed him the trophy, yes, it ended up being awesome, but you could just see how hesitant he was.

I was glad to see Yount there. Seems like a classy guy.

Imagine you haven't put on a Brewers uniform in 5, 10, 20 years. The team invites you at the very last second to sit in a truck and wave but you were already going duck hunting or golfing that day, lol. I think stuff like that is probably why there wasn't much alumni. It was at the last second and they have moved on in life. The whole "I didn't go because they accomplished, not me," sounds much better than "Well I'm happy for them and all, but, I don't really wanna go."

Yea and you have to travel 6-8 hours with connecting flights, etc for something that isn't exactly your accomplishment.  Like say if it was  planned celebration of a 20 year anniversary of winning a division or something that's different.   I'm sure plenty would've done it if it was convenient, like they live in Chicago or something, but to jump through so many hoops along with it being a little awkward because its not really for you probably makes it an easy 'nah I'll let them have their moment without me'.

Unless you're at the level like a Braun/Prince type where you're frequently in contact and doing things with the team it probably didn't make a lot of sense.  The upper level guys like that probably had much of this planned or been in frequent comms throughout the playoffs for various events.
