I'm going to miss the Pirates. See you in 2009, boys.

Ryan Braun wants everyone to know his ribs are just fine.

I'd just like to weigh in with my thoughts last night at the time of the Fielder Braun blast...

And blingster, why did you re-post that picture of Prince? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

What will be somewhat lost in the excitement of the Braun walkoff was how good Yo, Villy and the rest of the bullpen were. I like a Yo, Villy piggy back.

Completely agree! Does anyone know where a good place to find these pictures in higher resolution? Jsonline usually has one or two of the pictures (the ones that are linked directly in the article) in high-resolution but other than that I can never find any. I've had some very pixelated backgrounds over these last couple of days on my 22" widescreen monitor.

Just after posting, the game recap article was up on JSonline and this got the "big picture treatment"

This will be my wallpaper for a while. (well really only 2 or 3 days until we've got champagne shower pictures http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif)

I really hate to upset the apple cart by changing my avatar, but I kept thinking about how awesome this game was and I had to make a new icon.

Good thing they say in baseball momentum is only as good as your next day's starting pitcher, eh? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I think that's correct, bckid. At first I thought it was a fan rushing the field, but there certainly weren't any visible on the broadcast. The camera angle following Braun to the plate was from a low vantage point -- I think the camera was in his left hand. Nice hustle FSN camera dude!

I think Ryan Braun just became the most hated player in the division just now.
I'm surprised we haven't heard anyone complaining about "that cocky and arrogant Ryan Braun, over-celebrating a grand slam against the Pirates."

Seriously though, what a great win last night. If that doesn't give the Brewers a boost going into this weekend's series against the Cubs, I don't know what will.

Gagne has dropped his ERA by well over a run in the last 3 weeks and really hasn't even gotten in any trouble to speak of.

Hall crushed a ball to the opposite field yesterday.

Mets/Marlins matchups:

Volstad vs Pelfrey -advantage Marlins, Pelfrey has been rocked by the Marlins this year

Nolasco vs. Niese or TBD - Big advantage Marlins no matter who the Mets pitch

Olsen vs Santana - Advantage Mets but Olsen can be dominate at times

Good ol' #2. A lefty is starting tomorrow, too. It would be a good time for some Billy Hall magic.

And how about that Seth McClung, and Dale's trust in him to get the job done.

Guys...

They'll probably have "Wild Card Champions" hats in the Brewers clubhouse tomorrow. If the Marlins win, they'll put plastic over the lockers. This is so close, but I'm still immensely worried.

Tomorrow will be the fifth time this year that I get to see CC pitch for the Brewers in person.

We still have a chance to make the playoffs on the last day of the regular season.

The Mets game starts one hour before the Brewer game, so we will be able to scoreboard watch all game and now where we stand as soon as the last out is recorded.

The ratio of Cubs to Brewers fans the last two days has been pretty good and tomorrow's game having this big of an impact, I am hoping even more Brewer fans are there and proud of the season.

Oh, and I decided that I am going to win the powerball drawing tonight and offer to help Mark A with CC's contract offer next year!!!
