  1. Maybe Weeks will get a regular gig on a Brewers postgame show and could provide some input. Didn't hear much from Murphy except for what he chose to share with Tim Allen during interviews.
  2. They didn't really platoon Wiemer, he had nearly 300 plate appearances against righties, just did awful against them which led to his continue decline in playing time July-September.
  3. Nobody, not an option.
  4. To be fair there is a rather large gap between 1 and 2 but don't see much of a chance WIlliams is moved prior to the season. Don't think Adames is moved either but see a much better chance with him. I guess in general there are not a lot of major trades once Spring Training starts.
  5. I really wish Marley was a better movie. There is clearly an audience for a movie about him. Even though the movie only focused on a couple of years of his life it was still very surface level stuff. If they were going to have the movie take place in the mid to late 70's I wish they would have told the movie until his death in 1981. Zimbabwe and his death was covered with a couple of sentences at the end of the movie. Maybe there will be a better do over movie at some point after seeing how much money this one made.
  6. That 4th option year is rare but it seems like the Brewers get those guys on a fairly regular basis.
  7. This is all hypothetical but Hoskins would likely not even be on the Brewers and in the free agent pool. Think they would also have to consider guys they added to the 40 man after the season or in season such as Gasser and Black. Would have to see how Ashby responds this season too. So as an adjustment to your list would add Gasser/Black and remove Hoskins and trade one of Turang/Wiemer depending on performance rather than lose for nothing. Same can be said for Mitchell as well depening on how 2024 goes. Megill could turn into a pumpkin so would have to see how 2024 plays out, Could have a breakout player as well. Ultimately a lot of moving parts.
  8. The MLB Union is strong, no reason to think just ending free agency in MLB would ever happen.
  9. Pretty crappy that a rumor like this was started on his weding night but glad he is still a Brewer.
  10. Looking at the Tigers depth chart not seeing a real good path to playing time. Bless them if they give him a shot at 2B but not seeing that happening.
  11. Jon Heyman says the Brewers are not shopping Adames or Williams right now. Also says both are free agents after the season so who knows. Way at the end of the article https://nypost.com/2024/02/15/sports/orioles-eyeing-starter-market-amid-kyle-bradish-john-means-injuries/
  12. I like how we get heel addiemathews from BrewCrewBall. It was an odd headline but decent analysis.
  13. Soler kind of reminds me of Avisal Garcia with worse defense. I thought he might have ended up having to take a 1 year deal which is a Brewers Special. However, would not want him on this team for three year
  14. Right, so many confused online but new rules didn't matter once the 49ers kicked the field goal. Under the old rules the chiefs would have received a possession.
  15. Based on everything the Brewers have said Yelich is the LF, sure he will DH on occassion but he isn't going to DH 75% of the time when they are facing a RHP. I also wouldn't expect Sanchez to be DH the majoirty of the time against RHP. There will be a number of players at DH and think it is good they won't have an every day DH like Winker last year.
  16. I don't think they carry three catchers, pretty much a wasted roster spot. The amount Sanchez will play DH is also overstated. WIll be a fight for that final spot. I think the pitchers are correct as of now but always an injury.
  17. He probably shouldn't ever DH against a RHP, should play him as much as possible against lefties however. I know many don't like him but Bauers still has a clear path to playing time on this team because he bats left handed and still not projected to be all that good against RHP.
  18. A decent signing that doesn't require multiple years like Caratini and is an upgrade over their current backup catcher options. Lack of power was a weakness last year and this should help improve that.
  19. I think that is the way to go but the Brewers already stated Yelich is playing LF. Sure he will get some starts at DH but I'll take their word that their plan doesn't include Yelich as the every day DH. Would think Hoskins/Bauers get plenty of time at DH if they go that route.
  20. Large variances from player to player but usually plateau around 28 or 29 so would not expect his best days to be behind him. However, whoever signs him should see significant decline. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if 2024 ended up being the best year of his career.
  21. It's $7 million for 1 year, with $3 million deferred to after the season ends. It is more than Houser but I also prefer Junis over Houser.
  22. I do wonder how they handle preferred/general. There are plenty that hardly ever go to games and would take the exit right off the highway to preferred parking even though they paid for general.
  23. I kind of hate it. Huge question marks from Ashby, Rea and Hall. Miley has been solid but frequently hurt. Not a lot of confidence in that group.
  24. It's nice they have another potential replacement for Adames, Turang wasn't going to be that guy. Will be interesting to see how much time Ortiz gets at both 2B and 3B if Adames sticks around. Can't say I know a ton about Hall but appears he will go the way of Hader and stay in the bullpen, another potential high end reliever along with Uribe whenver they decide to trade Williams. Also good to get that 34 pick in 2024 instead of having to wait until 2025 for the pick that would have been for Burnes.
  25. Murray knows his stuff and has connections with the Brewers. If there is a mystery team with Murray it gives me some encouragement that it could be the Brewers.
