  1. I know the Wall of Honor is based on a set criteria but hard to believe Harper isn't on it. Having the most franchise steals in a single season should be good enough to get there. If not that then a 30-30 season should also be an auto qualifier, Harper, Braun and Yelich are the only 30-30 guys in franchise history. He laid the foundation and it would be nice if the Brewers recognized him before he is no longer here.
  2. Will be interesting what they do with Hall, sure doesn't appear to be a good starting option right now. If they insist on that might be best to start in Nashville instead.
  3. The Orioles did add Yohan Ramirez to the active roster today so will see if there are any more fireworks today. Probably will want to avoid another suspension though.
  4. Looks like they could easily transfer Mitchell and Clarke to the 60 day IL if they need any more pitching help in April or May not currently on the 40 man.
  5. This game has been postponed until August 30th as part of a double header. Glad they called it early
  6. The Brewers have hardly spent any money on Ashby at this point, they have committed millions but not much wasted at this point. Way too early to reach a conclusion one way or the other. If I was a betting man would say those two option years will still be a bargain.
  7. I think there are some still reluctant to buy from place like Stubhub but if the Brewers try to artificially inflate prices they will only hurt themselves because fans will buy from elsewhere versus the Brewers. I rarely buy directly from the Brewers anymore unless it is for theme nights.
  8. They didn't' pivot from anything, was always going to be Cody and Reigns. Rollins is a different story with the Punk injury, sure hope he loses though. Looking ng forward to the many n event tonight, figure there will be a ton of run ins, will be interesting who shows up.
  9. It was chaotic though because for the thousands that it didn't work for there were still threats of heavy fines/tow. Later on inside it was clear that wouldn't happen but not a great business practice to make their customers wonder if their car will be there when leaving the game.
  10. They still accepted cash last year, do think that did slow things down having to make change.
  11. I'm curious to see what it does when people park in preferred but they buy a general pass. Will they be charged the difference, notified to move your vehicle?
  12. Just not seeing success this year, trading guys off at the deadline as well. Adames will have a great year so that will be beneficial. 73 wins.
  13. It's certainly something to be worried about, it's different usually being in the top 10 and now they are likely in the bottom 10 for rotations. Their relief is in theory still good but they lost their best reliever. Not real confident their offense will pick up the slack, so add it all up and not likely a real successful season. Transition wise it will be good for the younger players to get experience but a very average season is upcoming. If everybody else in the Central is average or worse may not be a bad thing but there is usually one team that rises to the top and not looking like it will be the Brewers.
  14. Benji Gil sure stands out but yes everybody else was at least an All-Star. Not a bad floor for Chourio.
  15. I would agree that some of the moves and non-moves(not trading Adames or Williams) suggest this was not intended to be a transition year but still might end up that way. The Central stinks but need a lot of career years and guys like Hall and Ortiz contributing right off the bat for this to be a playoff team. I was one that didn't really think Adames would be traded but if the Dodgers are desperate have to seriously take a second look at this point.
  16. I doubt the injury impacted his contract, just covers his final two arbitration years. It's not like the Brewers Doctors thought there was anything seriously wrong.
  17. Kind of depends on how it is structured, saying it is 3 for 18 doesn't mean much.
  18. Having all three of Arroyo, Miller and Turang making the team would be rough. JD Davis is suddenly a lot more appealing.
  19. Can't imagine he gets claimed, nobody is interested in him at his arbitartion price if the Giants couldn't trade him. Would be doing the Giants a favor by claiming him.
  20. Also, if your parents have a handicap sticker can park in the preferred area for the general price.
  21. Would actually like him in AAA to start the year, one so he can play every day after missing pretty much all of last year. Secondly, want to see if he can stay healthy playing every day. Certainly think he is behind Frelick in the OF depth chart, not buying Frelick to 3B. Might make sense to even keep Wiemer over Mitchell against LHP. Even with that all said Mitchell no doubt still has the potential to break out so would rather see a guy like Perkins riding the pine getting inconsistent playing time versus Mitchell.
  22. I hope they are talking to Peralta. Might be willing to add a couple of years as he isn't guaranteed much right now if he got injured.
  23. Taylor was arbitration eligible this season but agreed to a contract with the Mets for $2 million. However, the point still stands, the brewers did get parts of 5 seasons for the minimum with him.
